Leadership conference (2 nd Breakfast payment) January 29, 2016. State Conference transportation form March 9, 2016. All Dues and Fees (registration and breakfast) must be sent through U.S. Mail to William H. Turner to the attention of Ms. Brenda Wilder, Instructional Supervisor. No money will be accepted at the breakfast. If we have not received your school payment on or before the deadlines, your students will not be able to attend the leadership conference. No extra seating will be available other than the ones reserved for those who paid by the deadline. No Exceptions. Students and Advisors must be Regional, State & National members in order to be able to compete in January 31, 2016. 5. CAPING Each school is limited (the same as last year) to five teams or five students in several of the competitive events. Remember this is five per school not per advisor. MRC Volunteer Outstanding State Leader There is no limit for Special Needs Students. These are the competitive events marked with an asterisk. Remember you must have paperwork to show the student has special needs. (Need paperwork. IEP Information) *Personal Care *Life Support Skills *Interviewing Skills *Speaking Skills One event per student for Middle Schools. 6. SCORING: Any student or team that takes a written test in an event that has a round two skill portion will not move on to skills portion unless they have a 55% or above on the written test. Teams will have to have a combined score of 55% or more to move on to the skills portion. No Exceptions. 7. TESTING The same as last year, all students will be given the written exam in ALL events that have written portion INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING: Parliamentary Procedure Medical Reading 3 books Creative Problem Solving Epidemiology (Pending information about attending Saturday event or not) 8. STATE Conference Leadership no moving up. Only students that qualify in Regional Competitions in first, second or third place will be the ones allowed to attend State. As last year, we will no
longer be able to move up and attend State Conference. Only two courtesy corps per school is allowed to attend. 9. NATIONAL Conference Leadership Ms. Wilder will address this item.
