INTRODUCTION We are very pleased to offer the Manitoba 15 th Annual Travel Health Conference, with an overview in travel medicine, immunizations and infectious diseases, as well as the most current information on Canadian travel health & immunization guidelines. We are very fortunate to have access to speakers of international, national and local acclaim who are talented and knowledgeable in the field of travel medicine. This conference is intended for all those who practice or are interested in the discipline of Travel Medicine and Infectious Diseases; in particular travel medicine health care practitioners, medical practitioners, nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and students who practice travel medicine within fields of primary care, occupational medicine, Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine, emergency medicine as well as public health. LEARNING OBJECTIVES At the conclusion of the Manitoba 15th Annual Travel Health Conference, participants will be able to: Apply knowledge gained through informative & relevant education, to clients, for the prevention and management of travel acquired conditions and illnesses, including emerging infections to promote a safe & healthy travel experience. Engage in effective communication and collaboration between colleagues and organizations to exchange information on current and practical applications in the field of travel medicine. LOCATION AND ACCOMODATIONS The two day conference & registration will be held at the Viscount Gort Hotel, located at 1670 Portage Avenue in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada R3J 0C9. The conference will be held on the main floor in Royal Rooms A, B & C. The hotel is offering guest room rates of $105.00 per night for a standard queen room, single or double occupancy only. An additional charge of $10 per person per night will apply for triple and quad occupancy. Guestroom rates are subject to the prevailing Provincial and Goods and Services Taxes as well as the 5% City of Winnipeg Hotel Occupancy tax. In order to receive the discounted room rate, please call the Reservations Department noted below, and identify that you will be attending the Manitoba 15 th Annual Travel Health Conference. Registrants would receive notification by phone or in writing with a full refund to follow. Should registrants wish to withdraw, notice must be submitted in writing and received no later than April 6, 2018 for a 75% refund. Cancellations received after April 7, 2018 will not be refunded.
