2013 ASA/USA Girls 16-U National Championship Hosted by Northern California ASA Dear Players, Coaches and Families, Congratulations to you and your team in qualifying to play in the 2013 ASA / USA Girls 16-U National Championship. We look forward to welcoming your team to the beautiful San Jose/Sunnyvale Area July 28 August 4, 2013. We plan to offer an exciting week for players, coaches and families. We are pleased to have such talented teams come to San Jose/Sunnyvale, California. The main complex for all games will be held at Global Sports/Twin Creeks and Mission College both in Sunnyvale, California. This packet includes valuable team information, scheduling, deadlines, housing, rules, gate passes and maps. We ask that you read over the information completely to have a grasp on the tournament procedures, especially deadlines. This will certainly help the tournament to run more efficiently. Make sure you have secured your signed ASA Championship Roster and National Tournament Entry Form signed by your ASA Commissioner in time to meet the entry deadline of July 19 th 2013. Completed packets must be received by our Nor Cal ASA Tournament Coordinator Sandy Scott by July 19 th, 2013. Mailing address: P. O. Box 2829, Fair Oaks, CA 95628. Sandy will contact you once your packet is received to confirm the information. Please include a current email address so we can keep you updated with the most current information. Entry fee is $550.00 for the tournament. They will need to present their signed player photo ID card and sign-in for the tournament.

OPENING CEREMONIES & SOCIAL: Sunday, July 28, 2013 6:00 p.m. 9:00 p.m. Adrian Wilcox High School Football Stadium (3250 Monroe St., Santa Clara, CA 95125) Each team should be present for team introduction and recognition. Please feel free to bring state, city flag or banner with you. PRACTICE GAMES: For practice fields please contact Joe Reyes by email: joereyes@astound.net Practice Dates Available: Saturday, July 27, & Sunday, July 28 Cost: $100.00 with Umpires or $50.00 without Umpires Games/practices will be allocated in 75 minute time slots. TOURNAMENT FORMAT: - Tournament Pool Play will begin Monday July 29th, at 9:00 a.m. with 1hr 40 min. time limit. Pool Play Brackets will be emailed to you plus be posted on our website at www.norcalasa.org - Double Elimination Championship games will begin Wednesday, July 31st, at 9:00 a.m. Games will have NO Time Limits. Complex gates will open 2 hours prior to first game times. TOURNAMENT DRAW: The Double Elimination Tournament Draw will be at the completion of your last pool play game up at Tournament Headquarters at the Twin Creeks Sports Complex. ADMISSION PRESALE: Each team will be given up to three coaches passes and one pass for each player attending the tournament who is listed on the roster. Passes must be shown each time entering the facility. Even when in uniform!!!! (Lost passes will be replaced at the tournament price) Tournament passes are available online. Passes will also be sold during team check-in and at the admission gates. Please note passes sold at the gate are cash ONLY. Adult Pass $50.00 Daily Adult.$ 12.00 Senior Pass (65+)...$40.00 Daily Senior (65+) $ 10.00 Youth Pass (8-12) $30.00 Daily Youth (8-12) $ 8,.00 Children 7 & Under FREE PARKING: Parking is included in your price of admission. Please note that there is NO Trailer or RV Parking spaces and no camp sites nearby that we are aware of. TOURNAMENT SHIRTS & SOUVENIRS: All items will be available for purchase during the tournament. RULES & REGULATIONS: All playing rules and regulations will be governed by the 2013 ASA/USA Official Rules Book. AWARDS: Awards will be by the Amateur Softball Association (ASA) Code. PHOTOGRAPHER: Photographer will be on site taking action shots. Pictures will be available for purchase during the tournament. TRAINERS/MEDICAL STAFF: Athletic Trainers/Medical Staff from the Palo Alto Medical Corp. will be available on site throughout the event. COMPLEX RULES: Only one ice chest per team (sports drinks and water) is allowed into the Facility. Absolutely, no outside food and/or beverages will be allowed in the facility. No alcohol, scooters, rollerblades, bikes, skateboards or pets are allowed. Revised: Date: 06/29/13
