Preventable hospital admissions is a major issue confronting all healthcare providers. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) demonstration programs, payment changes, and regulatory changes, as a result of health care reform, are requiring providers to re-examine hospital admissions and readmissions in which they are involved. During this session, learn how your facility can improve resident care and demonstrate its value to partner hospitals. Participants will also learn about Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement or QAPI.
