CRRC Flight Log June 2017 President s Message June Meeting at Davis Field It s time for the outdoor meetings for the summer time. We will be meeting at Davis Field on June 21. Official business meeting will be at 7:30. You are welcome to come earlier and fly. Most times the official business meetings are short. Summer Season Unfortunately, we did not know our field reservation status until yesterday (June 13 th ). The good news is that this summer we do not have any conflicts with any other groups for our annual events. Please check our on-line calendar for the event dates. July Fourth Demonstration Day Our first event will be the Fourth of July Demonstrations on July 4 th at Davis Field. We did not have this event last year because we could not get reservations for the field. As in previous years, we would like to have various gliders and electric planes and pilots. We need someone to bring a winch for launching gliders. If you have a buddy box setup that you can bring for sessions with kids (and adults), please let me know. I ll have at least one buddy box system. You can bring a gas or nitro plane for display. I will have some video monitors and goggles for FPV viewing, so bring out your FPV planes and quads. I ll also have a flight simulator going. I may need a volunteer or two to bring their deep cycle batteries so that we can power the laptops, displays, and the PA system. We will also need volunteers to talk with the people about the equipment, the planes, and the hobby in general. Please let me know if you can come and help out. www.charlesriverrc.org 2 AMA Charter #339
