I. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY In November 1997, U. S. Naval Mobile Construction Battalion FIVE deployed a 485 member Mainbody to Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico. An additional 198 personnel were deployed to Details Andros Island; Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; Norfolk, Virginia; Jacksonville, Florida; Vieques Island; Deployment for Training (DFT) to Tampa, Florida; and U. S. Support Group in Haiti. An additional 133 personnel were later deployed to DFTs Honduras, El Salvador, Azores, and Haiti.
