Corporate Opportunities WEST 2015 February 10-12, 2015 San Diego Convention Center San Diego, CA Jointly Sponsored by AFCEA International and the U.S. Naval Institute, WEST is the largest Sea Services event on the West Coast with a focus on the Pacific region. www.westexhibits.com CO-SPONSORED BY: AFCEA International U.S. Naval Institute FEBRUARY 10 12, 2015 SAN DIEGO CONVENTION CENTER

Brought to you by two premier defense Associations AFCEA, the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association, established in 1946, is a non-profit membership association serving the military, government, industry, and academia as an ethical forum for advancing professional knowledge and relationships in the fields of communications, IT, intelligence, and global security. The U.S. Naval Institute, founded in 1873, is an independent forum for those who dare to read, think, speak, and write in order to advance the professional, literary, and scientific understanding of sea power and other issues critical to national defense. The Naval Institute is the preeminent thought leader serving all Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard personnel by advancing the naval profession and preserving our naval history. USNI enhances the understanding of the vital contribution of American sea power to the defense and economic wellbeing of our nation. WEST attracts high-level military operational participation: Vice Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet Commander, U.S. Fleet Forces Command Chief of Naval Operations Commandant, U.S. Marine Corps Commandant, U.S. Coast Guard WEST offers the opportunity to hear from top Pacific leadership, and discuss solutions with key influencers. WEST provides the opportunity to engage with leadership at all levels of DoD and Government and discuss emerging technologies and equipment that will impact all areas of future Sea Service operations. WEST delivers a broad opportunity for industry to engage military exhibitors, attendees and speakers. This unique opportunity enables industry to understand military innovations, while discovering current capability needs Reach the operators who specify the current needs and use your systems, platforms, technologies and networks. WEST is the premier Sea Services event focused on operations in the Asia-Pacific region - showcasing emerging systems, platforms, technologies and networks that will impact all areas of current and future Sea Service operations. Senior leaders will address the theme Lower Budgets and Higher Demands: How Do the Sea Services Strike the Right Balance? Industry will showcase and discuss emerging technologies and equipment that will impact all areas of future Sea Service operations. Now in its 25th year, WEST 2015 is co-sponsored by AFCEA International and the U.S. Naval Institute, both non-profit, non-lobbying membership associations. Registration is free for military and government. Many related technical sessions are eligible for continuing education (CEs) and training credits. At the outset of his Administration, the President made a strategic decision to increase focus on the Asia-Pacific region and rebalance U.S. engagements, activities, and resources toward and within this vital region. White House Fact Sheet: The Fiscal Year 2014 Federal Budget and the Asia-Pacific The President s Fiscal Year 2014 Budget reflects this strategic priority by sustaining key investments made throughout the President s first term and by investing in new initiatives to expand and deepen a Government-wide commitment across the region. Danny Russel, Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Asian Affairs at the National Security Council (quote from the White House Blog)

SAN DIEGO AND THE PACIFIC REGION MILITARY MARKET STRONG AND GROWING As stated in the United States Department of Defense fiscal year 2014 budget request: While the U.S. military will continue to be central to ensuring global security, we will of necessity rebalance forces and funding priorities toward the Asia-Pacific region. This budget gives priority to investments that develop platforms and capabilities that have direct applicability and use in the Asia-Pacific region This budget will create a Navy that is relevant to the ongoing operations, provides a stabilizing forward-deployed presence, is capable and postured to support the rebalance towards the Asia-Pacific, and is able to secure the global maritime commons. The budget dedicates $4.6 billion in support of re-balancing toward the Asia-Pacific, an $843 million increase over PB 2013. Meet the operators outside Washington D.C. who specify the current needs and use your systems, platforms, technologies and networks Defense and National Security Budgets are Shifting to the Asia-Pacific Region: The Aisa-Pacific region is home to three of the largest economies in the world.
