Project Coordinator Duties Mission Coordinate and manage projects undertaken by the chapter. Responsibilities Research projects to be undertaken by the Chapter Submit Project Forms, New Project Application Forms, and other projectrelated documents as required by EWB-USA In the case of multiple projects, oversee Project Leaders in establishing project teams, schedules, and goals Ensure all projects meet EWB-USA standards Maintain project files for ongoing and completed projects

Outreach Coordinator Duties Mission Maintain EWB's public image and promote the organization to the campus and wider SD community. Responsibilities Maintain a database of supporters, friends, and collaborators of EWB. Organize and manage yearly current and potential supporters. Serve as liaison between campus/community organizations and EWB. Sit on the fundraising committee, and work with FC to keep track of donors and contacts. Prepare (or oversee preparation of) newsletters and other printed materials. Publicize meetings and events. Serve as spokesperson in print, TV, and radio media. Coordinate local volunteer activities. Manage Display Cases. Write thank you notes/gifts for guest speakers. Coordinate all non-fundraising events (i.e. parties).

Fundraising Coordinator Duties Mission Lead and oversee the chapter fundraising activities. Responsibilities Oversee the fundraising efforts of the chapter in collaboration with the treasurer and the president. Coordinate time/room for fundraising meetings. Research possible grants to apply for. Write and submit grant proposals. Make contacts with faculty/individuals to support EWB financially. Help project and fundraising teams plan fundraising events.

Membership Coordinator Duties Mission Develop resources for member and increase membership. Responsibilities Work with outreach and project coordinator to increase membership. Develop resources for members Create Members Only portion of website. Maintain and update membership list. Attend weekly officer meetings and bi-weekly general meetings.

Web Master Duties Mission To ensure that the website of EWB-SDSU has the most up-to-date and accurate information. Responsibilities Maintain and update website on a weekly basis. Ensure good website flow and readability. Work with Membership Coordinator to create Members Only portion of the website. Attend weekly officer and bi-weekly general meetings.

Secretary Mission Coordinate and oversee administrative, secretarial, and clerical duties of the chapter. Responsibilities Organize weekly officer meetings (including scheduling, reserving rooms, and calling for the meetings). Assist president with the meeting agenda s and time-keeping. Record minutes, including discussions, actions items, and decisions made during officer meetings. Keep a copy of the minutes. Distribute the minutes afterwards in a timely manner by e-mail to all officers. Follow-up with officers on any open action items from the last officer meetings. Attend weekly officer meetings. Help with organizing events as needed. Assist in communications (i.e thank you letters for donations, purchasing thank you gifts, assisting fundraising chair with letters and marketing) Maintain the email list and active members list.

Treasurer Mission Maintain financial records and monitor chapter's financial status. Responsibilities Maintain financial records. Reimburse officers/students for chapter related expenses. Make deposits. Maintain donation records. Assist the president/project managers in setting up the budget for the year and determining the chapter's financial plans for the year. Track the budget during the year and report to officers. Attend weekly officer meetings. Collect money at the end of fundraising events. Collect membership fees and communicate with membership coordinator. Register the chapter with SDSU every fall. Register the chapter with EWB-USA every fall.

Vice President Mission Coordinate special events and work closely with the president to improve the chapter's performances in the different areas of operation. Responsibilities Coordinate large EWB events (workshops, conferences, special events) including managing volunteers and ensuring coordination between the outreach and membership officers. Represent EWB at formal events as needed. Coordinate tasks with the president. Attend officer meetings. Attend general meetings. Meet with the president and advisors in additional meetings to plan strategy.

President Mission: Oversee the chapter development, activities, and achievements. Responsibilities Help build strategic partnership within SDSU and the local community. Run officer meetings. Plan officers transition and yearly retreat. Oversee projects progress. Facilitate networking opportunities for the chapter. Prepare annual budget and oversee fundraising progress. Point of contact for EWB-USA and the WC region. Delegate responsibilities to other officers. Represent the chapter as needed. Document chapter activities and facilitate knowledge transfer. Attend Southern California chapters monthly conference call. Designs and maintains the EWB-SDSU website. Manage technology organizes technology needed for events, and liaison with ENS (Electronic Network System)

Engineering Council Rep Mission: Be the face of EWB for Engineering Council and pass on pertinent info to officers and members. Responsibilities Attend weekly Engineering Council Meetings (1 hour) Update President following Council meetings (15 minutes) Attend weekly Officer Meetings (1 hour) Write weekly newsletter to members with AESC and EWB updates

Project Overview Tejeras, Honduras Application should be approved within 4 weeks Project Committee Google group is formed NGO AJAASSPIB (Association of Adjunct Water Administrators in the South Section of the National Park Pico Bonito) Will likely travel: January (site assessment) and March (spring break - implementation). Potentially Summer 11 (next community s site assessment).

The Problem Water source is polluted by cattle, agriculture, and potentially human waste as well. People of Tejeras are reporting gastrointestinal diseases, skin irritations, and vaginal infections. Exact number of people in Tejeras unclear (believed to be around 200) Level of water distribution system also unclear.

What can I do? Logistics planning travel, filling out paperwork, communicating with AJAASSPIB (Project Coordinator) Budgeting for site assessment Initial design / Final Design Translating Gathering and Analyzing rain gauge data Mapping GIS Educating and involving the community Health assessment / Health point person Photography Contacting local universities near Tejeras to assist us with: surveying, aerial photography, water testing lab, etc.

On our Site Assessment, we will Do water testing Survey the area Gain cultural and community knowledge to determine how to continue working in the area and educate the community Map out the current water distribution system Find potential water sources (all other) Determine potential rain catchment locations Determine potential disinfection sites Examine the human waste disposal systems in place

Break out Sessions Project Committee Fundraising Committee Banquet Committee AESC logo design Each committee chair has a list of things to work on / talk about. Assign someone to take minutes (notes) within each sub-committee. Divy up tasks. Each sub-committee will report to the larger group at the end. You can be on more then one committee just choose one for now and once you are established there, they can assign you tasks in your absence if you want to join in another committee. You can choose which break-out to join depending on the day.

Develop presentation. Develop letter request for presentation and thank you letter for follow-up. Find awesome presentors! Grants Compile a list of grants we are eligible for with dates!

Logo Design Logo is for AESC (Associated Engineering Student Council) We can submit multiple proposed logos If EWB wins, we get $50! Must be black and red and should transfer to black & white and grayscale nicely as well. Due April 19 th!.jpg,.png, or.gif file format
