Patricia A. Scott, DNP, NNP-BC, C-NPT Dr. Scott is a neonatal nurse practitioner who has been involved in neonatal care as a staff nurse, transport nurse, educator, and clinician for more than 25 years. She is the coordinator for the advanced neonatal nurse practitioner service and the neonatal transport service for Pediatrix Medical Group of Tennessee in Nashville. Dr. Scott is also an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing in Nashville. Dr. Scott served on the Tennessee Perinatal Advisory Committee Workgroup for Guidelines and Level of Care, Perinatal Transportation, and Educational Objectives for Nurses in Level I, II, III, IV and Neonatal Transport Nurses. She has been a S.T.A.B.L.E. Lead Instructor since 1999 and since 2006, a certified S.T.A.B.L.E. National Faculty member for training Lead Instructors and a mentor for the Lead Instructor Trainer team. In addition, she has been an invited Content Reviewer of the 2006 and 2013 S.T.A.B.L.E. Program Learner Manuals. Dr. Scott is an experienced presenter who brings enthusiasm and compassion for improving neonatal outcomes, through education, to the classroom.
Bridget K. Cross, MSN, NNP-BC Ms. Cross is a neonatal nurse practitioner who has been involved in neonatal care as a staff nurse, clinician, research assistant, and educator for more than 25 years. In addition to her clinical work, Ms. Cross is an adjunct faculty member for Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. She collaborated as an author, reviewer and consultant for the Mosby Nursing Skills on-line education materials and she is past co-editor for the American Academy of Pediatrics Transport Medicine Section newsletter. Trained in Simulation Methodology, she is actively involved as a simulation instructor at the renowned simulation center at Texas Children s Hospital in Houston. She has been a S.T.A.B.L.E. Lead Instructor since 2000 and in 2014, she became certified as a S.T.A.B.L.E. Lead Instructor Trainer. Ms. Cross is an experienced presenter who has all of the attributes most appreciated by students; she is personable, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and organized.
Patricia A. Scheans, DNP, NNP-BC Dr. Scheans is a neonatal nurse practitioner who has been involved in neonatal care as a staff nurse, transport nurse, educator, and clinician for 30 years. She is the coordinator of the S.T.A.B.L.E. Program, the Nurse Resuscitation Specialist Program and the Neonatal Resuscitation Program for the Legacy Health System in Portland, OR. Her MSN included additional coursework to achieve Specialty in Education at Walden University in Minneapolis, MN. She completed her DNP at Walden University in 2014 focusing on the use of telemedicine for neonatal resuscitation. Dr. Scheans edits the "Clinical Challenges" column for Neonatal Network, and serves on the manuscript review board for AWHONN 's Nursing for Women s Health. She chairs the Northwest Perinatal Resource Network, a regional education consortium. Dr. Scheans has been a S.T.A.B.L.E. Lead Instructor since 1999 and in 2014, she became certified as a S.T.A.B.L.E. Lead Instructor Trainer. She is an experienced, knowledgeable presenter and teaches on neonatal topics both domestically and internationally.
Webra Price-Douglas, PhD, CRNP Dr. Price-Douglas is a neonatal nurse practitioner who has been involved in neonatal care as a transport nurse, clinician, and educator for more than 30 years. She is the coordinator of the Maryland Regional Neonatal Transport Program in Baltimore, MD, past National Association of Neonatal Nurses (NANN) liaison for affiliate members in the American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Transport Medicine, author of the NANN Neonatal Nursing Transport Standards (2010, 3 rd ed.), and past NANN liaison of the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems. She has been an invited Content Reviewer of the 2006 and 2013 S.T.A.B.L.E. Program Learner Manuals. In addition, she is the author of numerous articles and is frequently involved in conference planning. Dr. Price-Douglas is an experienced, knowledgeable and well-respected presenter at neonatal meetings.
Private Instructor Course Details The course is limited to a maximum of 15 attendees who meet the qualifications for Lead Instructor Those who meet Support Instructor qualifications may also attend, but they must teach with a registered Lead Instructor The attendees must be employed in the immediate region where the course is held or they may be from other regions if employed within the same hospital system Courses are taught by one of our certified Lead Instructor Trainers assigned and scheduled by S.T.A.B.L.E.
