We need everyone s help to complete our mission: Mission: In the Spirit of service, not-self, the mission of the American Legion Auxiliary is to support the American Legion and to honor the sacrifice of those who serve by enhancing the lives of our veterans, military, and their families, both at home and abroad. For God and Country, we advocate for veterans, our citizens, mentor youth, and promote patriotism, good citizenship, peace and security. Everyone of our sister members has a purpose in this organization, and our unit is so very lucky to have such strong women as members. I have tried to enhance, empower, and make each member know how important they are to me and our unit. That is why it is so very important to come to the meetings and let your voices be heard, and hear what others have to say respectfully. I generally only get to see some of our members once or twice a year at the Early Bird and the Installation Dinners. If you need help with transportation to the meeting let me know 315-221-0167. At our next meeting I will be looking for volunteers to be on the nominating committee to help recruit for our next year s officers. Thank you Deborah J Atkins Unit 789 President
