The VFW s Military Scholarship program provides scholarships annually to VFW members who are currently serving in uniform or active, guard/reserve. Deadline Spring 30 April/ Fall 15 November. Rockwell Collins provides $2,500 scholarships to student veterans currently attending a community college. To be eligible students need to be enrolled in a certificate or associates granting program at an accredited institution of higher education, Must attend a two-year institution, have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above, submit proof of military service (DD214), and submit proof of enrollment in an accredited U.S. institution of higher education March 15, 2018 Student Veterans of America and NBC Universal have partnered to distribute 2, $12,000 scholarships to any eligible student veterans. In order to be eligible the student must be in pursuit of an Associates, Bachelors, or Graduate degree at an accredited institution of higher education and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above. Deadline 10 April To support educational opportunities for Veteran/Active Service Members and their spouses. Intended to cover direct study-related expenses such as tuition, fees, and books, as well as other needs such as room and board and child care. Deadline 1 March.

We do require, however, that the scholarship funds be used within a year after the date on which it is awarded. The winning applicant will provide us with a tuition invoice from the educational institution he or she has chosen, and we will pay $1,000 directly to the school.in order to apply for the scholarship, you must be a veteran of any branch of the Armed Forces of the United States. Candidates must be currently enrolled as a sophomore or junior at an accredited college or university in the United States. Candidates must be majoring in the following or related fields: electrical, aerospace, systems or computer engineering, computer engineering technology, computer information systems, information systems management, computer science, physics, mathematics, or science or mathematics education. Deadline 1 May Grants are available, on a competitive basis, to high school or college children/stepchildren (unmarried, under age 24 at time of deadline) of: (1) members or former members of the Submarine Force who have qualified in submarines and have served in the Submarine Force for at least eight years; or of (2) Navy members who have served in submarine support activities (e.g., submarine bases, tenders, and rescue vessels) for a minimum of ten years. Deadline 23 January To provide college scholarships to dependent children and spouses of all US Navy - officer and enlisted - active duty, retired or deceased who served within Naval Air Forces. Recipients are selected on the basis of scholastic merit and community service. Prequalification (eligibility) 1 February. 9 (U.S. Navy / U.S. Marine Corps / U.S. Coast Guard) Naval Aviator, Naval Flight Officer, or Naval Aircrewman. Also eligible are individuals or children/grandchildren of individuals who are serving or have served on board a U.S. Navy Aircraft Carrier in ship's company or an embarked staff. Eligible applicants must be accepted for undergraduate enrollment at an accredited college. Deadline 1 March Military Family Members Scholarships Anchor Scholarship Foundation $2,000 Folds of Honor Foundation $5,000 http://www.anchorscholarship.com https://www.foldsofhonor.org/resources/ scholarships/ The Anchor Scholarship Foundation provides scholarships to eligible family members (children and spouses) of active duty, retired or honorably discharged Surface Navy personnel. Anchor Scholarships MUST be applied to tuition and tuition related expenses only. Dependent children must be pursuing a 4-year degree (BA or BS) at a 4-year college or university in the United States. Dependent spouses may be pursuing an Associates, BA or BS at a 2 or 4-year college or university in the United States. Deadline October Folds of Honor Foundation (FHF) provides post-secondary educational scholarships to the spouses and children of service members disabled or killed as a result of their military service. Each of them represent a branch of the armed forces for their scholarship, volunteerism, leadership, extracurricular involvement, and other criteria while facing the challenges of military family life. There is a seventh award for a young person age 13-18. This award is the Military Child of the Year Award for Innovation The Navy League Foundation awards scholarships to high school seniors who will attend college in the fall. Navy League Foundation Scholarships are available only to children and grandchildren of former members of the Sea Services and those currently serving as well as members of the Naval Sea Cadet Corps.
