American Legion Auxiliary Scholarship for Non-Traditional Students $2,000 Deadline November 1 Applicant must be a member of the American Legion, Auxiliary, or Sons of The American Legion and shall have paid dues for the two preceding years and for the calendar year in which application is made. Student has to of had at least one year of college and is in need of financial assistance to pursue an undergraduate degree. Deadline 1 March. Rockwell Collins provides $2,500 scholarships to student veterans currently attending a community college. To be eligible students need to be enrolled in a certificate or associates granting program at an accredited institution of higher education, Must attend a two-year institution, have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above, submit proof of military service (DD214), and submit proof of enrollment in an accredited U.S. institution of higher education March 15, 2018 Student Veterans of America and NBC Universal have partnered to distribute 2, $12,000 scholarships to any eligible student veterans. In order to be eligible the student must be in pursuit of an Associates, Bachelors, or Graduate degree at an accredited institution of higher education and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above. Intended to cover direct study-related expenses such as tuition, fees, and books, as well as other needs such as room and board and child care. Deadline 1 March.

Candidates must be currently enrolled as a sophomore or junior at an accredited college or university in the United States. Candidates must be majoring in the following or related fields: electrical, aerospace, systems or computer engineering, computer engineering technology, computer information systems, information systems management, computer science, physics, mathematics, or science or mathematics education. Current high school seniors with a C average or above. Deadline 1 June Dependent child of a Chief Warrant and Warrant Officer in the U.S. Coast Guard. 15 Military Child of the Year $10,000 + gifts Navy League Foundation $2,500- $20,000 http://www.militarychildoftheyear.org/ http://navyleague.org/scholarship/ Operation Homefront's annual awards recognize six outstanding young people ages 8 to 18. Each of them represent a branch of the armed forces for their scholarship, volunteerism, leadership, extracurricular involvement, and other criteria while facing the challenges of military family life. There is a seventh award for a young person age 13-18. This award is the Military Child of the Year Award for Innovation The Navy League Foundation awards scholarships to high school seniors who will attend college in the fall. Navy League Foundation Scholarships are available only to children and grandchildren of former members of the Sea Services and those currently serving as well as members of the Naval Sea Cadet Corps.
