FRIDAY PRE-CONFERENCE Retirement Savings Made Easy OFFERED AT THE ISSUES, GOOD TEACHING NORTH & SOUTH, NEW EDUCATOR WEEKEND AND EQUITY & HUMAN RIGHTS CONFERENCES Saving for retirement is one of the most important steps you will take. Just how important is it to start now? Don t know where to start? Are you a hands-off investor? Attend our one-day pre-conference and get started! This workshop covers what you need to know about your retirement plans along with easy tools to help you choose the right type of savings for your retirement account. We will introduce you to the new CTA 403(b) Retirement Savings Plan which is designed for the hands-off investor. The CTA Plan offers high-quality investment options with lower fees than other 403(b) plans and follows a fiduciary standard which means all decisions are made in your best interest. This is a great opportunity to identify CTA Member Benefit resources which you can share in your local as part of a member engagement plan. We will use humor, games and interactive activities to keep the day interesting and engaging. This pre-conference is free and your attendance is subject to approval of the chapter president because release time will be arranged and paid for by CTA. Chapters may send members to one or more conferences. We encourage the chapter president to approve release time for one or more newer members of the chapter.
