Boardman Spartan Marching Band 2017 Band Camp Handbook
BAND CP INFORMATION Band Camp is a week of intense and fun band rehearsals and activities which take place away from home. It is where and when we accomplish most of what you see and hear of the Boardman Spartan Marching Band. Band Camp will begin on Sunday, August 6. We will leave the high school at 12:00 Noon on school buses (attendance will be taken promptly at 11:45 ). We will return from camp by school bus on Friday, August 11. We should be back to the high school at 5:00. The Band Camp fee is $230. 00 per student and must be paid by Friday, August 4. Checks should be made payable to BBOP. Students must have the Band Camp fee AND any previous band debts paid in full before they can attend Band Camp. Students must also have the online Student Information Form completed. Band Camp is held at Edinboro University, Edinboro, Pennsylvania. We are housed in the university s newest and nicest dorms. Beds are either twin or full size. Edinboro suggests students bring sleeping bags and unfitted sheets. Be sure to mark each piece of luggage with your name and room number. Luggage and bedrolls should be brought to the band room by NOON on Friday, August 4. Students may want to bring spending money for vending machines and for activities. The campus bookstore might be open while we are there. Edinboro University has an indoor swimming pool available during free time. Please bring extra towels and swim suit if you choose to go swimming at band camp. Additional information will be given to the students via announcements and email/text alerts.
