Show or Draw Pictures draw pictures, use illustrations, or demonstrate with 3-D models. Patient Participation encourage patients to ask questions and be involved in the conversation during visits and be proactive in their healthcare. Encourage Questions create a shame-free environment, make patients feel comfortable asking questions. Enlist the aid of others to promote understanding.
