Relay for Life of Commerce-- Milton Castro Presentation started with Video On Relay for Life. American Cancer Society April 9 th it s a 24-hour Event. Milton wants to have clubs fundraise and students as well. Great event to participate in Fundraise April 9 th at 9am. Cancer does not care who you are or what club you re in, lets fights against cancer, Contact Milton for more info. Milton will do rounds at club meetings to promote. B. Respiratory Therapy Conference Report--Kyle Mesquite Reporting on Conference they were funded for by ASU last November 2015. 1. Keeping American Roads Safe. 2. What is a RT? 3. Public Law 113-45, Sleep Apnea: when you stop breathing. Drivers greater risk of losing their jobs with BMI and diabetes. 4. Kaiser Fontana: Taking the lead in developing the treatments and testing for enforcing the sleep apnea law. 5. Truckers that meet the criteria for being screened are sent to this site for assessment. 6. ELAC students will have an opportunity to train at KAISER. 7. Patrick Reynolds is the grandson of tobacco conglomerate R.J Reynolds who founded R.J Reynolds for A Smoke Free America founded in 1989. Mission to motivate young Americans to stop smoking. 8. Club Accounts Withdrawals Yareli, Read the e-mail sent out by Sonia Lopez regarding account withdraws amounts over $1,000. This is due to the audit, transparency, and documentation. Please use DR Form. Motion item tabled to next meeting regarding documentation and regulations. Motion to create a sub ICC meeting to go over audit. 2. E3 Quad Area: Club Guidelines. Quad area opens to fundraise but not for cooking, Don t sell open food like grills, and things that cause stains. Only chips and sodas. Options to cook food are still available in the old locations. 3. Facility Request Forms Policies Refresher Some clubs are not submitting their facilities request form, turn in at least 8 days in advance notice to Tish. Friday before event Tish send out an e-mail to plant facilities to notify of your event. D5 Location very popular to sell food so be mindful that other clubs are also submitting request to sell there. 4. Amplified Sound: College Hour Only. Some clubs, playing music during class sessions, we have designated college hour 12pm- 1pm make sure to note that on your facilities request form. VII. VIII. IX. Open Discussion Items (5 MINUTES PER ITEM) A. Smoking Resolution-- Milton Castro Milton visited club s meetings and created a resolution. The sign needs to be bigger, visible, and have the municipal code. Milton wants to enforce district policy. Work environment committee, makes suggestions to president, and it s up to the president to do something about it. Motion to adopt the resolution? Enforce, no smoking near buildings.
