This Joint Public Notice announces a request for authorizations from both the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the State of Georgia. The applicant's proposed work may also require local governmental approval. STATE OF GEORGIA Water Quality Certification: By letter dated August 10, 2017, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Environmental Protection Division issued the Water Quality Certification for the initial project. By email dated July 17, 2018, the GAEPD, notified the Corps that the preexisting 401 WQC is still in effect and sufficient for the proposed modification. Stateowned Property and Resources: The applicant may also require assent from the State of Georgia, which may be in the form of a license, easement, lease, permit or other appropriate instrument. species. Based on this the Corps has determined that the modification would have no effect on any Federally threatened, and endangered species pursuant to Section 7 of the ESA. By letter dated April 13, 2017, the USFWS stated they concurred with the Corps no effect determination for the originally authorized work.
