Invitation The ANZICS/ACCCN Intensive Care Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM), which incorporates the annual Paediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care Conference, will be held at the Adelaide Convention and Exhibition Centre, 11-13 October 2018. The ASM will be the preeminent critical care meeting in Australasia for the calendar year and will be an important platform that will allow doctors, nurses and allied health practitioners to meaningfully connect and discuss new developments and research in the field of intensive and critical care. The theme of the ASM is Finding the Forest through the Trees and will focus on holistic care, looking at all of the systems not just the finer details. The program will showcase the best international keynote speakers in the forefront of Intensive Care Medicine and we anticipate the superb location of Adelaide will attract great interest from both national and international delegates. Organising Committee 2018 ANZICS/ACCCM ASM Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Society (ANZICS) The Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Society is the leading advocate on all intensive care related matters. ANZICS leads the world in intensive care research through its Clinical Trials Group and patient databases, including the Adult Patient Database, the Paediatric Intensive Care Registry and Critical Care Resources. The Society is devoted to all aspects of intensive care medical practice through ongoing professional education, the provision of leadership in medical settings, clinical research and analysis of critical care resources. Australian College of Critical Care Nurses Ltd (ACCCN) The Australian College of Critical Care Nurses Ltd (ACCCN) is a not for profit membership-based organisation representing thousands of nurses both members and non-members nationally. The college s members work across the critical care clinical spectrum, principally in the area of intensive care, in clinical, educational, management, and research roles. The college has strong professional relationships with other national peak nursing bodies and government agencies and individuals. Destination and Venue Adelaide Convention Centre The ANZICS/ACCCN Intensive Care ASM 2018 will be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre. Located centrally to all Adelaide has to offer, the Centre boasts world class facilities and enjoys a global reputation for excellence. Additional Opportunities INTERACTIVE ZONE The 2018 ANZICS/ACCCN ASM will incorporate an established tradition of the Interactive Zone in the exhibition. As the event attracts a mix of delegates from all critical care professions, with a variety of seniority, we offer the Interactive Zone as an opportunity for our sponsors and exhibitors to build engagement with a wide range of attendees. The Interactive Zone provides a platform for industry supporters to facilitate dedicated educational activities in scheduled sessional use in the exhibition hall. The industry-run mini-events in the interactive zone will be designed to encourage high turnover participation and low stakes competition between both individuals and/or teams of registrants. Planned activities will occur during break times, and may include (and are not limited to) the following: Interactive moments directly related to an exhibitor s product/s, for example: time-limited tests of skill or demonstration of knowledge involving the exhibitor s product Low-stakes competition enhancing the exhibitor s exposure to ASM delegates. Any exhibitor developing interactive events would be encouraged to integrate the ASM theme into their activity. Terms and Conditions BOOKING AND PAYMENT All prices are quoted in Australian dollars and include GST of 10% (as of the date of the publication). The ASM reserves the right to vary the quoted prices in line with any changes in the rate of the GST. On receipt of a signed Booking Form, a tax invoice for the required 50% deposit will be sent. Confirmation of Sponsorship Packages and Exhibition space confirmation will only be made upon receipt of this deposit. The balance is will be invoiced on 1 June 2018. Applications after this date will be invoiced in full. Payment terms net 20 days. All payments due must be received by the ASM Managers prior to the ASM. No sponsor/ exhibitor will be allowed to set up their exhibition stand at the ASM until full payment has been received. Public and Product Liability insurance to A$10 million must be taken out by each exhibitor at their own expense SPONSORSHIP AND EXHIBITOR PROTOCOL It is expected that sponsors and exhibitors will comply with the Medical Technology Association of Australia (MTAA) and Medicines Australia (MA) Codes of Practice as applicable to their organisations. Product information for all products being promoted must be available from the display stand. iii. CANCELLATION POLICY If notification of cancellation of sponsorship is received in writing: prior to 31 December, 2017, your deposit will be refunded, less 20% administration fee between 1 January, 2018 and 30 May, 2018, you are liable for 50% of the package selected from 1 June, 2018, you are liable for 100% of the package selected. The Organising Committee reserves the right to cancel the ASM not later than 31 July 2018 in case of circumstances beyond its control. In such a case all monies paid to date will be refunded in full less any expenses incurred. The liability of the organisers will be limited to that amount.
