imagin.asia Week is an inaugural initiative to build inter-cultural friendship, cooperation and understanding among young people and entrepreneurs from Asia and the rest of the world to engage in a fast growing Asia. Imagin.Asia Week is co-organized by The RICE Company Ltd (TRCL), Global Cultural Alliance Ltd (GCA), Millet World Pte Ltd (Millet World), CEO Asia Pte Ltd (CEO Asia) and Temasek Polytechnic. TRCL and GCA are not-for-profit arts and culture organisations. imagin.asia Week 2018 will be held from 24 to 29 July in Singapore and has three segments: 1. imagin.asia Business Summit (26 & 27 July 2018) imagin.asia Business Summit seeks to create resilience, opportunities and innovations for SMEs in Asia and around the world. The summit will spur entrepreneurs to imagine what the business of tomorrow will be and to ready them to seize the opportunities. It is organised by Millet World and CEO Asia. 2. imagin.asia Youth Camp (24 to 29 July 2018) imagin.asia Youth Camp is an international exchange platform for young people from across Asia and around the world to build and strengthen ties amongst themselves for a shared and inclusive future. It is organised by TRCL. 3. imagin.asia Concert (28 July 2018) imagin.asia Concert brings together young artists from Asia and around the world in a showcase that demonstrates how the arts can be a powerful medium to reinvent traditions and/or impact change in society. It is organised by GCA.
imagin.asia Youth Camp 24 to 29 July 2018 Singapore Purpose: Imagin.Asia Youth Camp (IAYC) is a new annual international exchange platform for young people from across Asia and around the world to build and strengthen ties amongst themselves for a shared and inclusive future. IAYC aims to initiate dialogue and new collaborations among youths to better understand and engage a growing Asia. Objectives of Camp: Provide a platform for exposure to cultures and languages Provide a safe & affordable platform for exchanges of ideas Develop and nurture a sense of empathy among young people so as to build a world community of caring societies Project Outcomes: Gain and develop cultural intelligence Experience an authentic cultural exchange platform Gain globalised perspectives from international youth counterparts through interactive exchange of cultures and experiences Programme Highlights: Expressions of Culture I: Communicating Across Cultures Expressions of Culture II: Representation of Culture in the Eyes of Media Expressions of Culture III: Unseen Communities, Forgotten Places Imagin.Asia Concert 2018 # # Participants will work towards a photography project as part of Imagin.Asia Week.
