GENERAL MANAGER MESSAGE Election Day is here! And if you didn t have an opportunity earlier, you can still watch the Wyoming PBS October general election debates before you vote on November 4 - just go online, www.wyomingpbs.org to see the ones you may have missed. Other commemorative events this month include Veterans Day and Native American Heritage Month - Wyoming PBS will be marking both those events with many special programs see page 15 for a complete listing. The news that effects all of us is that Charter Communications has recently changed their cable channel line-ups, including where they have located Wyoming PBS, on many of their cable systems. Of course you should have received a notice from Charter about all the channel changes, but in the event you are still looking for Wyoming PBS, here is a quick overview of where to find our HD signal: on Channel 506 in Casper; on Channel 510 in Riverton, Thermopolis, Worland; on Channel 512 in Jackson, Laramie, Buffalo, Gillette, Greybull, Powell; and on Channel 513 in Sheridan and Cody. No matter what, you will need an HD-capable, cable box to pick up the all-digital channels from Charter. If you haven t gotten your box, you ll need to call Charter and order one, get it hooked up, and then have the box authorized by Charter through a phone call. Ultimately all these changes will greatly improve the quality of your program service, but we agree - it is inconvenient and a bit time-consuming. We had so many calls regarding the series The Roosevelts, produced by Ken Burns, that we have decided to repeat the entire series, starting on Sunday, December 14, at 4 pm, and then every Sunday at 2 pm, until it concludes in early January. Two episodes will air the first day, and then the other 5 episodes will air on consecutive Sundays. If you missed parts of it, here is another chance to see the stories of three incredible, heroic people Teddy, Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt. We are grateful for many things in this great state, but we never forget how thankful we are to have you, our members and supporters. Happy Thanksgiving! WYOMING PBS STAFF Ruby Calvert General Manager Bob Connelly Assistant General Manager Robert Spain Director of Engineering Jennifer Amend Promotions Manager/ Program Guide Editor WYOMING PBS FOUNDATION STAFF Lee Haines Executive Director Lara Miller Administrative Assistant/ Assistant Program Guide Editor Kathy Stilson Membership Coordinator The Wyoming PBS program guide is published monthly by Wyoming PBS, 2660 Peck Ave., Riverton, WY 82501 and mailed to those who contribute $50 ($25 senior rate) or more annually to Wyoming PBS. Under IRS guidelines, the estimated value of this program guide is not substantial, therefore, if this is the only thank you gift received by the contributor, the full amount of the gift is tax deductible.
