Mission Surakshit Khadya Abhiyan TM Mission and Vision- 2016 Strengthen Nationwide Action on Safe and Hygienic Food For All. Vision Engage all stakeholders to catalyze sensitization and capacity building on food safety among consumers, student community, primary producers street food vendors and the industry to deliver safe food of global standards and boost domestic trade and export. 3

Objective of Surakshit Khadya Abhiyan TM Enhance Consumer Awareness on Labels, Storage conditions and related practices to Food Safety. Disseminate Hygienic practices amongst Schools and Colleges towards delivering safe food. Sensitize Food Service Providers including Railways, Food Storage Locations, Midday Meal schemes, Street Food Vendors, Mass Caterings on how to produce and serve Safe Food. Build Capacity on Food Safety Benchmarks with Best Practices Sharing Summits, Workshops, Training Programs, Short Term Professional Courses with Partners of international repute, Food Safety Award Programs and others for the industry. 4

One Day Awareness Training Programs for Clusters identified Awareness Training Program on Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and Good Hygiene Practices (GHP) for Primary Producers, Small and Medium Manufacturers & Exporters on selective products, across the country The Awareness Training Program would aim at strengthening the Implementation of GAP, GHP of Primary Producers related to Agricultural & Processed Food Product Units for both Domestic and International trade.
