Teenagers in Five Central Pennsylvania Communities are : - Junior Members of Revitalization Organizations - Being Trained in Business Management - Learning to Be Entrepreneurs - Actual Hands-on Business Operation In hopes that they will remain in Central PA 2
What is a Main Street Program? Program is used to revitalize older, traditional business districts throughout the United States. Common-sense way to address the variety of issues and problems that face traditional business districts. Encourage economic development within the context of historic preservation in ways appropriate to today's marketplace. Advocate rebuilding of traditional commercial districts based on their unique assets: distinctive architecture, a pedestrian-friendly environment, personal service, local ownership, and a sense of community.
TIME is a community-based, non-profit organization that facilitates Milton s Main Street Program. TIME s purpose is to enact positive change in the downtown business district. Programs include Façade grants, low interest loans, promotions and marketing, and fostering partnerships.
TIME for Teens TIME for Teens is an opportunity for teenagers to express pride in their community by becoming a part of downtown revitalization efforts.

The Affiliates Group learned from the National Trust that there are only several dozen similar programs among 700+ Main Streets in the US National Trust expressed an interest in possibly creating an expanded nationwide program National Trust is planning an article in Main Street Now magazine about our project in Spring 2012 Our program could become a nation-wide model because it adds needed entrepreneurial elements 26
