INITIAL INCIDENT OBJECTIVES FOR PLANNED EVENTS INCIDENT NAME: DATE: TIME: 1) Confirm Readiness of ESFs and Support Infrastructure 2) Maintain Situational Awareness Once the EOC is Activated, the above objectives are set for the first Operational Period. The Incident Cycle and Meeting Schedule must be initiated to begin development of the next Operational Period s Incident Action Plan. Planned events often are exercised as a slower pace and with progressive activation of support Elements. Planned events may not require a Situation Report. If a Planned Event escalates to an emergency event, continue EOC Activation and initiate a more aggressive approach to Managing the Incident Cycle and Meeting Schedule. APPENDIX 5-3 JUNE 2015

INITIAL INCIDENT OBJECTIVES FOR EMERGENCY EVENTS INCIDENT NAME: DATE: TIME: 1) Mitigate Life Safety Issues 2) Conduct Consequence Analysis through ESFs and other Program Components 3) Determine Immediate Support Requirements 4) Anticipate Prolonged Support Requirements Once the EOC is Activated, the above objectives are set for the first Operational Period. Emergency events operate at a fast and stressful pace. Initial focus is on information gathering and consequence analysis. During Emergency Events, staff may not be able to produce a full IAP for the next Operational Period. As such, the above objectives will continue to each Operational Period until a regular schedule of meetings and reviews can be obtained. As soon as possible, the Incident Cycle and Meeting Schedule must be initiated to begin development of subsequent Operational Period s Incident Action Plan. APPENDIX 5-4 JUNE 2015

INITIAL INCIDENT OBJECTIVES FOR HURRICANE EVENTS INCIDENT NAME: HURRICANE DATE: TIME: 1) Conduct Storm Threat and Consequence Analysis 2) Ready Community, EOC Team, ESFs and Support Infrastructure 3) Prepare for Evacuation Response 4) Collect and Compile Situational Awareness Once the EOC is Activated, the above objectives are set for the first Operational Period. The Incident Cycle and Meeting Schedule must be initiated to begin development of the next Operational Period s Incident Action Plan. Situational Awareness is also critical. Produce Situation Report as quickly as possible for Command Policy Group reference. APPENDIX 5-5 JUNE 2015

INITIAL INCIDENT OBJECTIVES FOR POST-HURRICANE EVENTS INCIDENT NAME: HURRICANE DATE: TIME: 1) Monitor Safety and Logistical Support needs of Render Safe Teams 2) Identify post storm population centers and evaluate immediate needs for life safety 3) Evaluate status of Critical Workforce Staff and Priority Critical Facilities 4) Conduct over flights identifying significant damaged areas, potential rescue missions, Possible hazardous materials releases. Convey information to ASOC and EOC in real time. 5) Enforce county-wide security, access control, curfews, and other emergency ordinances Situational Awareness is also critical. Produce Situation Report as quickly as possible for Command Policy Group reference. APPENDIX 5-6 JUNE 2015
