Call for Abstracts The 11 th International Conference on Geosynthetics (11ICG) will be held from September 16 to 21, 2018 in Seoul, Korea. The Organizing Committee cordially invites you to submit your abstracts. 1. Theme & Topics Under the theme, Geosynthetics: Innovative Solutions for Sustainable Development, a wide range of scientific programs are being organized focusing on the diverse disciplines of geosynthetics from fundamentals to applications. The main theme of the conference will include the following topics: Sustainability and Green Technology with Geosynthetics Geosynthetic Barriers Geosynthetics in Filtration, Drainage and Erosion Control Reinforced Walls and Slopes Ground Improvement Using Geosynthetics Roads, Railways and Other Transportation Applications Soil-Geosynthetic Interaction Hydraulic Applications Innovative Uses and New Developments Cases Histories Durability and Long Term Performance Physical and Numerical Analysis Geosynthetics Properties and Testing Quality Control and Quality Assurance Design Approaches and Other Applications 2. Important Dates Abstract Submission Deadline: December 30, 2016 Extended Abstract Submission Deadline: February 28, 2017 Abstract Acceptance Notice: March 31, 2017 Paper Submission Deadline: September 29, 2017 Paper Acceptance Notice: December 29, 2017 Final Paper Submission Deadline: March 30, 2018 3. Abstract Submission Guidelines 1. Abstracts should be submitted online. 2. Abstracts should be written in English. 3. The maximum number of words is 300. 4. Authors must fill out all abstract details and authors information following the online abstract submission procedures. Each abstract must include the paper title, authors' names, affiliations, and e-mail addresses. 5. Authors may edit and modify submitted abstracts until the submission deadline. It is the responsibility of the authors to ensure the accuracy of the abstract. There will be no additional editing after the deadline. 6. Authors may choose their presentation preference (Oral or Poster). However, the Scientific Committee will make the final decision after review.
* Note - The submission of an abstract implies your consent to have it published in the Abstract Book and that the author will participate in the 11ICG. - Presenting authors will be required to complete conference registration when they will submit their papers by the paper submission deadline of September 29, 2017. 4. Notification of Acceptance All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee according to standard reviewing procedures. Notification of acceptance will be sent by e-mail to corresponding, presenting and abstract submitting authors from March 31, 2017. 5. Withdrawal of abstracts If the presenting author of an accepted abstract does not register by March 30, 2018, the abstract will be automatically withdrawn from the final program. If you must withdraw an abstract, please notify the 11ICG Secretariat in writing as soon as possible. 6. Permission for In-Person and Electronic Presentations By completing the agreement and accepting our conditions during the online abstract submission process, you will be giving your permission to IGS to record your presentation and distribute the recording to any media and that IGS may copy and distribute any documents or audio or visual materials used in your presentation to any media for educational purposes without payment to you. Your completion also indicates your guarantee to IGS that your presentation and all your materials are your original work, unless you attach permission from the copyright holder. 7. Steps for submitting abstracts (By Online system) A) Visit the 11ICG website (http://www.11icg-seoul.org) and click the Abstract Submission page and click the Call for Abstracts page. You can find the Online Abstract Submission link on the page.
English Korean B) Go to Sign-up to create an account for registration and abstract submission (1) and fill out the required information on the sign-up page (2). (1)

D) Click the Add (1) and fill out your abstract information (2) and save the page. (1) (2)
E) When you click Save after uploading your abstract, an Author Information pop-up page will appear. Fill out the author information. If you have co-authors, click Add. Be sure to identify the Corresponding Author and the Presenting Author. F) After abstract submission has been completed, you may click Preview to check the submitted abstract.
H) To modify your abstract, click on your Abstract No., and then Modify. To modify the authors information, click on Add/Delete.
