Belarusian Institute of System Analysis - BelISA Overview * Parent organisation for FP6/7 National Information Point in Belarus * The Institute was established in 1996, after transformation of the formerly Research Institute for Scientific-Technical Information of Belarus, previously part of network of the like institutes of the State Committee of Science and Technology of the Soviet Union * It reports to the State Committee for Science and Technology of Belarus * Its mission is to: - facilitate development of state policies in science and research - provide with exchange and dissemination of S&T information in the interests of scientific and S&T policy-making communities 6

Belarusian Institute of System Analysis: Activities - Collection and dissemination of S&T information from and for national R&D organisations - Maintenance of the state register of national R&D projects - Information support of national S&T policy-making bodies -Monitoring and analysis of R&D activity in Belarus - Promotion of national R&D results outside Belarus (international exhibitions, conferences, publications ) 7

Belarusian Institute of System Analysis: Hosting FP6/7 Belarus National Information Point: Key Tasks - Disseminate information about FP7 within scientific and research community of Belarus - Provide advices and consultations to Belarusian R&D organisations and scientists in all scientific fields on FP6/7 and INTAS - Provide assistance in partner search for Belarusian and European R&D institutions and other organisations for FP7 project proposals in all scientific fields & FP7 priorities 8

7FP NCPs in Belarus In 2007 10 7FP NCPs had been nominated in Belarus. 4 of them are located in BelISA: : National NCPs coordinator, ICT NCP, INCO NCP, Mobility NCP. BelISA participates in 5 current FP6 projects and in 1 FP7. INCONet-EECA. There were submitted several proposals with the BelISA participation under the latest FP7 Calls. 9

Overview of Belarus FP7 NIP activities in 2007-14 seminars and information days on FP7 for researchers of 21 R&D organisations in Minsk city and 4 regional centers, overall number of participants about 800 persons - 3 big international conferences for potential FP7 participants in Belarus, number of participants about 400 persons - Assistance provided for selection and participation of Belarusian scientists in brokerage events - Dissemination of information on FP7calls & activities, partner search requests, news alerts etc 80 news bulletins via e-mail to about 800 individual and corporate subscribers in Belarus - Over 300 consultancies for Belarusian researchers and scientists on FP7 -Assisted in preparation of several project proposal in FP7 calls, -- There were prepared 14 newsletters on FP7 activities for local mass-media, including 6 articles More on Belarus FP7 NIP/NCP at the www.fp7-nip.org.by 10
