This dramatic adaptation of Homer s myth begins with a modern young woman who is struggling to understand Robert Fitzgerald s translation of The Odyssey. A classical muse appears, and the young woman becomes the goddess Athena a tireless advocate for Odysseus in his struggle to get home. With her trademark irreverent and witty twist on classic works, acclaimed playwright Mary Zimmerman brings to life the story of Odysseus s ten-year journey, depicting his encounters with characters such as Circe, the Cyclops, Poseidon, Calypso, the Sirens, and others. Frustrated by their inability to join the soldiers in battle, the children decide to do whatever it takes to help in the war effort. However, they soon have to tackle their own conflict in the form of a local gang of bullies who will stop at nothing to see every plan they form fail. Heartwarming, funny, emotional and exciting, this original new musical is a true celebration of the steadfast British spirit that shone through during WW1. A cinematic musical from British duo Donnelly and Maltby with a sweeping, epic score and a timeless story of courage and hope.

An account has been established whereby a student may specify the amount of his desired donation, and by way of finger swipe may easily transact the donation. Students and parents are again reminded to stay vigilant regarding the balance of lunch accounts. In addition, students will receive a Rice Bowl in their religion classrooms to take home - this will be collected after Lent. Lenten Resources. More than an exercise in donating money, our participation in the CRS Rice Bowl allows us to enter more deeply into solidarity with those who benefit from our sacrifices. What is Lent?
