Lake Norman Regional Transportation Commission AGENDA March 8, 2017 I Call to Order Review of the Agenda Adoption of the February 8, 2017 Meeting Summary. II Roadway Projects Update Bill Thunberg (30 minutes) Presented a PowerPoint (Attached) detailing the STIP Roadway Projects in in our region as well as Planning Projects in our region. Included in the presentation is the timeline for TCC/MPO actions related to the 2018 STIP and 2020 STIP from now through March 2018. *Please remember the actions detailed in the timeline include significant staff involvement as well as MPO delegate participation. Please make your colleagues aware of this situation. In particular, it is important to understand that the STIP development process will rely on the 2045 MTP as the source of projects for submission for prioritization for the 2020 STIP. **In certain jurisdictions, particularly in Mooresville, many of the roadway projects will be in some phase of construction at the same time. It is important to start communicating this to the public at every opportunity. III ICATS-Express Connection Update Brad Johnson (30 minutes) Brad introduced the LNTC to ICATS and presented ideas for linking ICATS to CATS Express bus service in the near future for transit service in to Charlotte. There was discussion about funding, park and ride facilities and the potential demand and ridership for the service. (PowerPoint attached.) Further discussion with individual jurisdictions is under way.
