Other (please specify) Scholarship Conditions All scholarships are awarded at the discretion of the Board of Directors. Scholarships cover 100%, 50%, 33.3% and 25% of tuition fees respectively, commencing 2019. A scholarship selection panel will determine the nature of the scholarship offered with reference to the criteria outlined below. Scholarship recipients are still liable to pay all other costs associated with their schooling. The Scholarship Application form must be submitted with supporting documentation for each application. All scholarship applicants need to complete a GRG Enrolment Application, unless already a current student. Scholarships are subject to an annual review. Scholarship holders must maintain a level of performance commensurate with their ability. Scholarship holders must follow all normal School rules. Current School may be contacted. Other specific subject requirements as indicated below must be met. Sport The School does not offer specific training/coaching programs beyond experiences gained as part of normal School sport. It is possible that your nominated sport will not be part of our sporting program, but you will have access to trials for representation up to and including Australian representative level in any sport contained within the Combined Independent School s (CIS) sport program. Selection for interview based on student information as presented in application. The selection criteria will differ to some extent between sports because of variances that exist in the structure of competition in different sports. However, generally, we are looking for people who are representing NSW in national competitions. We are aware that some sports conduct a number of regional competitions and sometimes call them State Championships. This is a different level of competition to what is nominated above. Each application is examined on its own merit; with the School reserving the right to exercise flexibility where it feels particular promise exists. High level of achievement/representation is essential. General conditions apply. Ongoing representation at an appropriate level (as determined) in nominated sport.
Visual Arts 4 small sample postcard size images to be sent with application Portfolio of work to be presented at interview. Selection of Visual Arts through Year 8 to 12 Ongoing practical work completion and entry in outside competitions as indicated by Art Faculty. Music Audition will be part of the interview. This will include playing one piece of music and completing a sight-reading test. General knowledge of pieces Oral and Aural tests. Selection of Elective Music through Years 8 to 12 Ongoing completion of lessons and examinations in music (ie AMEB levels to continue) The student is expected to contribute to the life of the school by participating in the School Bands or Ensembles etc. as nominated. Drama Interview conducted for selected candidates. Audition will be part of the interview. Selection of Elective Drama through Years 8 to 12. The student is expected to contribute to the life of the school by participating in Drama productions at the School as well as representing the School in external Drama competitions such as the Shakespearian Drama Festival.
