The conference will be held here in Columbia at the Adam s Mark Hotel (soon to be Marriott) downtown. Once again there is no registration fee. We are very excited about having the conference here in Columbia. Since Columbia is centrally located in the State, we are expecting a good turnout. Additionally, the Adam s Mark has a lot more room than we ve been able to enjoy in the past and is in the midst of a $10 million renovation. The Conference will again be geared towards communications, technology, and management personnel of our User Agencies. We are offering the opportunity for your company to host several events such as s, Receptions, and Lunches. There will be a $300 fee for exhibiting, plus a $35 setup fee payable to the Adam s Mark. Background EXHIBITOR INFORMATION The 2005 CJIS User s Conference will be the third conference that the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, Criminal Justice Information Systems Users Conference has hosted. The conference is evolving into the largest, most informative conference for the South Carolina criminal justice community. Most of the vendors are repeat vendors. They include Printrak, Datamaxx, Unisys, GEIT Solutions, Cisco, TiBA, Dataworks Plus, DCS and many more. Your display will be seen and visited by approximately 300+ criminal justice professionals. You will have an opportunity to demonstrate your products to a large pool of potential customers. Select your booth from the enclosed chart or contact Carolyn Treuhaft, the Convention Services Manager at the Adams Mark for up to the moment availability. Complete the Registration Form and return it to Carolyn Treuhaft, the Convention Services Manager at the Adams Mark Hotel before December 1, 2004. Accommodations The conference this year will be held at the Adams Mark Hotel (soon to be Marriott) in downtown Columbia, South Carolina. The hotel has a good restaurant and a Sports Bar on the premises and many more are within walking distance. A trolley comes by every half hour and takes people to the Vista where they are many great restaurants and bars. The hotel also includes a fitness center. The conference rate for the hotel is $69 per night for a single or double; add $10 for 3 or 4 people. Parking is included as well as a continental breakfast. Exhibitors are invited to select three booth location preferences (see Exhibit Floor Plan). The booths are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. If one of your three choices is not available, the Convention Services Manager will assign a booth as close in proximity to your first choice as possible. Booth Assignment The Convention Services Manager will strive to fulfill all position requests. In the event that the exhibitor s position preferences are unavailable, the Manager will select the next best space available. (Refer to the Exhibit Floor Plan). All booths are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Assignment and Sublease Exhibitors shall not sublet booths or any equipment provided, or assign this lease in whole or in part. Responsibility for Loss or Damage Exhibitors assume all responsibility for damage caused by the exhibit to the person, property, or rights of other parties, including injury to floors, walls, decorations, or equipment of the center or exhibit contractors. Exhibitors will not hold SLED responsible for any loss by theft or damage.
