TAKITANI SCHOLARSHIP RENEWALS FOR THE 2018 2019 SCHOOL YEAR FOR 2017 SCHOLARSHIP STUDENTS The Mamoru and Aiko, Inc. () is pleased to announce that the 2017 Takitani Scholars are eligible to renew their scholarships for the 2018 2019 school year! Takitani renewal scholarships of $2,000 will be awarded to students on a competitive basis. Eligibility In order to be eligible to renew your Takitani Scholarship, you must meet ALL of the following requirements: 1. Be the recipient of a 2017 Takitani Scholarship. 2. Be enrolled at a college or university for the 2018 2019 school year. 3. Be a student in good standing, with a 2.0 GPA or higher. 4. Do not have a deferred balance for your 2017 Takitani Scholarship Award. 5. Submit your renewal application by July 6, 2018. Application process To apply for a renewal of your Takitani Scholarship, please go online to www.takitanifoundation.org. Go to the FOR STUDENTS tab, and click the rectangular button LOGIN ONLINE. You will need to establish an account, enter the access code renew2018 on the Apply page, and complete the 2018 Renewal Scholarship application before July 6, 2018. You will be providing the following information: 1. Your name and current contact information. 2. Contact information for your financial aid office. 3. Student ID number 4. A brief 1,500 character essay about your experience in community service. (Different from the essay submitted in your initial application.) 5. A brief 1,500 character essay about the challenges and successes of your past year in college. 6. Upload a copy of your college transcripts for the full duration of your college career. 7.
