LAMP LIGHTING REPORT 2013 December 2012: On 1 st December 2012, lamp lighting ceremony for the 4 th batch of F.Y.B.Sc. Nursing & 2 nd batch 1 st year R.A.N.M. students was conducted. Hon ble Vice chancellor sir, the chief medical officer Pune Municipalcorporation Dr. S.T. Pardeshi, Hon ble Registrar sir, dean of health sciences department graced the auspicious occasion.on the occasion of World AID s Day, students performed role play on awareness of HIV/AIDS. January 2013 : In the month of January 3 faculty members -Mrs.Shelke, Ms. Precilla Paul and Mrs. Jayashree presented Research papers from our department on 24 th &.Mrs. Shelke received the 1st prize for Poster Presentation. o Theme for the conference was CURRENT TRENDS IN NURSING Two teachers Mrs. Seema Sathe and Ms. Shubhangi Jadhav along with ten students from our department attended the voice conference with Astronaut Ms. Sunita Williams which was organized on 3 rd Januaryat MIT College. A rally & Role Play was organized in the community at MeenataiThakareVasahat and Health Education was given Pune Advintist Hospital by B.Sc Nursing & R.A.N.M students. The seminar was organised on Anti-Smoking Day on 5 th January 2013. Dr. Timothy from Pune Adventist Hospital & Mr. Niraj from Muktangan de-addiction Center were the speakers for the seminar. Faculty members & students from our Vidyapeeth attended this seminar. Various sport competitions were organized by our Vidyapeeth. Students from F.Y. & S.Y. B.Sc Nursing participated in Volley Ball competition, won the 1 st prize &Mr.Suraj Waghmare was awarded as all rounder student.
Ms. Glory Bhambal, student of S.Y.B.Sc Nursing won the 2 nd Prize in Classical solo singing competition and Ms.Rohini Awhale student of 1 st year R.A.N.M won 2 nd Prize in Rangoli competition for the Sanskruti-2013 conducted on 23 rd January by our Vidyapeeth. The students of S.Y.B.Sc Nursing & 2 nd year R.A.N.M actively participated in National Polio Eradication Programme which was conducted at Primary Health Center Wagholi on 20 th January 2013. February 2013 : Oral Hygiene day celebrated in the AnganwadiMeenataiThakareVasahat,Pune. Oral heath check up & Physical assessment was done for 40 anganwadi students & role play was also performed in the Anganwadi by our students on 5 th February. Faculty member Ms Priscella Paul attended annual conference of Indian association of Neonatal Nurses (IANN) on 8 th February and presented research paper on Care of Newborn with Hypothermia at B.V.C.O.N The workshop was held on 21 st February n National Cancer Control Dr. Deepa, Mrs.Jadhav& Ms Maheshwari from Tata Memorial Hospital Mumbai, conveyed the various aspects of Palliative care & Home care of patient s suffering from various types of cancer. The T.N.A.I Pune City Brach organized various inter collegiate competition for the celebration of International Nurses Day in the month of February 2013.Faculty members & students won prizes in various competition. In sports competition, students won T.N.A.I Boy s Volley Ball Championship 2013 and Runner up for the Cricket match. In three legged running copetetion -Mr Sandeep Tambe, student of S.Y.B.Sc Nursing &MrPruthvi student of F.Y.B.Sc. Nursing received 2 nd Prize. Ms. Neelima Israeli received 2 nd prize in 400 meters running. In Salad Dressing MsRekhaThorat student of 1 st year R.A.N.M received 1 st prize & Ms. Glory Bhambhal student of 2 nd year B.Sc. Nursing received 2 nd Prize in Solo singing competition.
March 2013: The women Health Check up camp & Role Play was organized on 6 th March 2013 in the Aktarwadi,SinghgadPaitha,Pune for celebration of International Women s Day. Vice Chancellor Sir inaugurated the Health Check camp. Nearly about 100 women were guided by Dr. Meera Joshi. Health Check up was organized for all female staff of our Vidyapeeth.Dr. Meera Joshi (Gynecologist) discussed on all aspects of women health. All B.Sc Nursing students & 1 st year R.A.N.M Nursing student organized Role Play & Health Education Programme at Noble Hospital and Primary Health Center,Wagholi on 25 th March on the occasion of World Tuberculosis Day. F. Y. B.Sc. Nursing &1 st year R.A.N.M. Nursing student s had done cookery practical on 28 th March and prepared various types of therapeutic diet. April 2013; The faculty members Mrs. Shelke, Mrs. Ghodake, Mrs. Gloria Agrawal, Ms.JyotiKothawale attended the first State level Conference of Society of Midwives India (SOMI) which was organized at Sasoon General Hospital, Pune on 4 th April.Hands on skill Training was given during this conference. On the occasion of World Health Day, the faculty members &B.Sc Nursing students conducted the assessment of Blood Pressure in the various departments of our Vidyapeeth and also gave health education on BP. control measures.
May 2013: On 10 th May our department celebrated International Nurses Day. Theme was Closing the Gap: Millenniums Development. The Essay, Rangoli,Fancy Dress competitions were organized for the nursing student. For Essay competition Ms. AnishaKhandagle student of 3 rd year B.Sc. Nursing received 1 st Prize. MsSrushtiBhosale student of 1 st year R.A.N.M received 1 st Prize in Fancy dress competition. June 2013 The student of 2 nd year R.A.N.M. were appeared for Maharashtra Nursing Council Examination which held in Month of January 2013 & the result was declared in the month of June 2013. July 2013 with 11 distinction & 5 first divisions. Ms. PinkeeRaikarholds 1 st rank with Distinction 84 %. 23 rd July 2013 on the occasion of LokmanyaTilakPunyatithi, Health Checkup was done & Health education wasgiven for 30Anganwadi students at MeenataiThakareVasahat by R.A.N.M Nursing student. Prof. Shelke presented a paper and chaired a session on Futuristic Nursing for the International conference on Global Nursing which was held on 25 th July at B.V.C.O.N.& Mrs. Ghodke attended the conference 1 st batch 0f B.Sc nursing programme appeared for University Examination which was held in the Month of June 2013. Mr. KashinathJadhav stood 1 st with 81 %.

Ms. Khandagale Anisha1 st rank The students of S.Y. B.Sc. nursing appeared for University Examination which held in Month of June 2013 & the result was declared in the month of July 2013. Ms. PanpatilSmita holds 1 st rank with 79 %The student s of F.Y. B.Sc. Nursing were appeared for University Examination which held in Month of June 2013 & the result was declared in the month of July 2013. Ms. PoonamDhaigude holds 1 st rank 79% August 2013: Orientation programme of 5 th Batch of B.Sc. Nursing & 3 rd Batch of R.A.N.M. was conducted on 17 th August. Chief Guest was Hon ble Vice- Chancellor Sir Dr. Deepak Tilak& Guest of Honor Registrar Sir Dr. UmeshKeskar. They provided valuable guidance to our student s to shape their future. All first year Students participated in fresher s party which was arranged on 31 st August 2013 by Art s Circle.
September 2013: On the occasion of Nutrition week 1 st -7 th September,the poster competition & Quiz competition was organized for all TMV students. Also seminar was conducted on Importance of Nutrition & Promotion of Health. The speaker of the programme was Dr. Kalyani Bhatt. Body Mass Index was also calculated. Exhibition&Roleplay organized at MeenataiThakareVasahat by the R.A.N.M student. Also Nutrition week celebrated at Aktatwadi.Our student conducted Exhibition, Role play & Health education programme. B.Sc. Nursing & R.A.N.M. student s participated in flower bed competition on the occasion of Onam celebration on 16 th September. On the occasion of Alzhiemer s Day, a Role play & Health education programme was organized by our students in Pune Advantist Hospital & St. John s Old Age Home Pachhaud, GurwarPeth on 20 th September On the occasion of World Heart Day programme was inaugurated by Hon ble Vice-Chancellor Sir on 10 th September. Activities which were conducted Checking Height & weight Blood pressure Checking hemoglobin & Blood sugar level. Prof. Raut from Swami Hardas foundation gave lecture & Demonstrated exercises on Healthy life style. October: 2013 3 rd year B.Sc. Nursing organized Role play & Health education in Sasoon Hospital in Psychiatric ward On the occasion of World Mental Health Day celebration on 10 th October. On the occasion of World Obesity Day faculty members & student organized a body fat analysis programme for the T.M.V.staff& students. S.Y.B.Sc. Nursing student s organized health education programme on world osteoporosis day at Pune Adventist Hospital on 25 th October.
November: 2013 On the occasion of World Diabetes Day & Children s day, Role play & Health education programme was organized by B.Sc. & R.A.N.M. student s in their respective clinical areas on 14 th November. The faculty member Ms. Benitta& students of final year B.Sc.nursing attended National conference at Madhya Pradesh. They also visited Tadoba Abhyaranya, Chandrapur as their educational visit in the month of November 2013. The student of 1st year R.A.N.M appeared Maharashtra Nursing Council in the month of July 2013.The result declared in the month of November 100% 11 student with distinction Ms.AwhaleRohini& Ms KhaireJayshree hold 1st rank with 82 % 1st pass out batch of B.Sc. nursing & R.A.N.M course selected in a campus interview and working in multispecialty hospital Noble Hospital,K.E.M., Rao Hospital.
