MISSION STATEMENT To improve access to Healthcare by developing, influencing and making recommendations on policy, planning and delivery of sterile and decontaminated products INTRODUCTION The Sterile Services Best Value Group (SSBVG) is one of twenty-one Best Value Groups organised by the National Performance Advisory Group (NPAG). All NPAG Best Value groups are member driven with agendas, dates and venues decided by members. The SSBVG consists of subscribed members with an elected Chair and Vice Chair, supported by a facilitator from NPAG. 27 members from 19 organisations registered for the series of four meetings held between June and March 2014/15. This report briefly summarises the group s discussion subject matters and the presentations from external speakers. As the group facilitator, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Chairman Jenny Tebby who is stepping down for the next round, and the members for their continued enthusiasm and participation in the meetings this year. Jo Kerrigan NPAG Best Value Group Facilitator MEETING VENUES The four meetings for this rotation have all been located at the Royal Asiatic Society close to London Euston train station. This is mainly for ease of access for delegates coming from all sides of the country. DISSEMINATION OF SSBVG INFORMATION All presentation slides, notes and tabled documents are made freely available to Group members. The NPAG Network Manager maintains a library and register of all documents/papers for distribution upon request. These are also made available to members of other NPAG Benchmarking groups, with the agreement of the originator. NETWORKING The delegates have expressed the importance of forums in which they can network with others carrying out the same roles across the country where delegates can ask questions without concern. KEY HIGHLIGHTS 2014/5: PRESENTATIONS Presentations have been sent to the delegates, and the contact e-mails for the presenters have been included below.
