2. Aggregate student utcme data prvide evidence f the prgram s effectiveness in achieving its missin, gals, and expected utcmes. The DON has set expected aggregate utcmes fr NCLEX-RN first time pass rate at 75%, Graduatin rate at 75%, Students satisfactin EBI scre mean f 5.5. The current benchmarks fr Emplyment Rates and Alumni Satisfactin are established and nly identify return rates. The faculty recgnizes that benchmarks need t be set fr satisfactin levels in all the areas and will d s this spring 2011 semester.. As indicated in the prgram respnse prvided fr cmments related t Key Element III-A n page 4, faculty created a table that mre clearly illustrates the relatinship between expected learning utcmes and measurement tls. This table als delineates the direct and indirect methds used t measure the achievement f these expected utcmes. Additinally, the Department s Strategic CQI Plan (Appendix VI) and the Preceptr & Faculty Student Clinical Perfrmance Evaluatin frm (Appendix VII) were revised t clearly indicate hw these data are used t determine prgram effectiveness and learning utcmes. The DON established benchmarks fr expected aggregate utcmes in ur DON Strategic Plan (2008-2011). Data related t these utcmes were analyzed and evaluated by the faculty and changes t the curriculum design, curses and DON plicies (such as admissin and prgressin in the majr) were implemented. The department implemented the fllwing changes (amng thers): The department in cnjunctin with the Office f Institutinal Research and Assessment designed and cmpleted a crrelatinal study t identify ptential backgrund variables that impact student success and prgressin in the majr. These data were analyzed and evaluated and decisins impacting DON plicy were implemented. All clinical evaluatin student perfrmance tls were revised. Implemented ATI Supprt, Tutrial & Assessment Prgram and analyzed and evaluated individual and aggregate data that infrmed decisins and changes. Implemented an advisement prtcl t assist students as they prgress thrugh the majr. Revised the DON admissin prcess t reflect admissin criteria that supprt success in the majr and timely prgressin tward graduatin. Revised DON undergraduate alumni survey t capture data that wuld infrm decisins related t department, prgram, and lifelng learning. Implemented a senir capstne preceptred practicum and revised the External Preceptr /Faculty Student Perfrmance Evaluatin frm t better capture preceptr data related t student learning utcmes.
