Ini-to Lodge #324 1166 Dripping Rock Road Molena, Georgia 30258 (706) 646-2255 Congratulations! You have been elected by your troop to the Order of the Arrow, Scouting s National Honor Society. At the Call Out, you received a Candidate s Arrow. It signifies that you are now a Candidate for the Order, and must undergo your Ordeal to become an Arrowman. Please wear this Arrow with pride until and throughout your Ordeal. The Ordeal is actually an experience that is designed to help you test yourself. You will gain a deeper understanding of the Scout Oath and Law and the value of unselfish service to others. The Spring Ordeal weekend will begin promptly at 8 p.m., Friday, XXX and will end at 10:30 a.m., Sunday, XXXX we recommend that you arrive at Camp Thunder by 7:30 p.m. on Friday evening and have your ride pick you up at 10:30 am Sunday morning. No meals will be served Friday, eat at home or bring a sack lunch. You should wear work clothes and your Candidate s Arrow to camp. DO NOT wear your scout uniform. You will need the following equipment for Friday night: sleeping bag, ground cloth, canteen, pocketknife, bug repellent and a poncho. You should also bring, packed separately, work gloves, tools, your toilet articles, a towel, a Class A Scout Uniform for the induction ceremony, and other necessary items. This year s service project includes Conservation work and painting, so please bring gloves and painting items such as roller frames, brushes, roller pans, roller extensions, etc if you can. The lodge will supply paint rollers, but we don t have enough frames to go around. Adults, we also need weedeaters, pressure washers, chain saws, etc. Make sure you have you stuff clearly marked so it can go back home with you. Pre-Registration is required for this event. Use the attached form to register and return it no later than XXXX. Please include a photocopy of your current Boy Scout Medical form with your registration. The cost of the ordeal is $XXXX which will include your meals for both Saturday and Sunday breakfast, an Order of the Arrow Handbook, a current Ordeal member Lodge flap, an Ordeal sash and dues for the first year. Check-in at Howard Lodge (use front gate to camp). The Ceremony is for candidates and members only. Nonmembers must have prior approval (before the start of the Ordeal) from the Lodge Advisor to attend. If you would like to purchase Lodge uniform items (optional), we will have Lodge T-shirts, Lodge Caps, Lodge Neckerchiefs, and additional Lodge Flaps ($3.00) available for purchase (not on Friday).

Please plan to depart around 10:30 am on Sunday. Pickup point Howard Lodge, same as the drop off point. For those unable to attend in May, there will also be another opportunity in August. We plan to see you at the ordeal on May at Camp Thunder.
