Filling in your online application form before appointment 2 The application form can be found at the following website: https://visasimmigration.service.gov.uk/product/tier-4-student The instructions to help you complete the application form can be found on the University web pages: http://www.bath.ac.uk/students/visaadvice/tier-4/extending-your-visa-in-the-uk/index.html We will discuss the most complex pages of the form now, but please use our web instructions when you fill in the form. Carefully enter your CAS number double-check that it is correct
Make sure you go through the check list and ensure you have included all the evidence asked for
Confirm that you are the applicant
Click on Go to IHS website and pay your health charge Then return to your visa application and make the payment for your visa select the service you are applying for We recommend the standard service ( 448), unless you urgently need your documents back PLEASE DO NOT CHOOSE THE PRIORITY SERVICE
Remember to print the document checklist, online application form and biometric letter!! These can be found at the end of the online application Once you have paid for the Immigration Health Surcharge and the application itself, click on the button that says save and continue to final tasks Download and print all pdf documents and include these in your application pack You will need to take 2 photocopies of these as well
Key documents Place all the following documents in your application pack and bring to your Appointment 1 for us to check. Please note you will not have your CAS or pre-sessional certificate for appointment 1 you will receive both of these before appointment 2. 1. Your current passport and visa 2. Two passport sized photographs 3. Original certificates for all qualifications on your CAS statement 4. Financial proof
Key documents continued 5. Your Police Registration Certificate (if required) 6. Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS) Certificate (if required) 7. Official translations and original documents these must meet requirements and have the translator s qualifications on them 8. 2 Photocopies of all documents
Photos 2 recent photos taken in the UK DO NOT use photos used in a previous application DO NOT go to Boots or use the photo machine on Campus Not a white background light grey or cream. We will not accept photos that are printed on a white background. Do NOT smile!
Financial proof Your bank statements MUST: be your UK bank account open a UK bank account TODAY if you don t have one be ORIGINAL, not copies be dated within 31 days before your application and show at least 28 days Show required money has been in your account every day for 28 days
Financial proof required funds Your bank statements MUST show, for 28 days: 9,135 living costs PLUS tuition fees for this year If the amount in your bank account goes below the required amount at any time during the 28 days, your visa WILL be refused
Bank statement check 1 Is the statement in English and in UK pounds? Is the statement in YOUR name? Is the account a cash current or savings account? NOT shares/investments/credit cards/bonds Does the statement have the NAME and LOGO of the bank? Does the statement show THE ACCOUNT NUMBER?
Bank statement check 2 Is it an ORIGINAL document on headed paper? OR (if it is printed from an online account)- is there an official stamp on EVERY page? Does it include the date the statement was printed? Is the date the statement was printed no more that 31 days before the date of your application? Will the money have been in the account for 28 days or more on the day you will apply for your visa? What is the lowest balance in this time period? Is it more than you need to show evidence of?
Bank statement check 3 Lloyds Bank statements- Do NOT have the logo on them if they are printed in the branch. You will need to print out statements online and have every page stamped at the bank. Natwest - DO have the logo on them if they are printed in the branch but they will NOT stamp online accounts. Barclays - do not print from the machine in the city of Bath as this does not have the full account number. Please use the campus branch and ask for the last 31 days of transactions printed on headed paper and stamped on each page.
ATAS certificate You should be told by Admissions if you need an ATAS Postgraduate students and students whose courses lead to postgraduate degrees Research: Some programmes in Science, Engineering and Design, Department for Health Taught: Specific programmes (mostly MEng courses) Go to www.fco.gov.uk/atas for more information and to apply for certificate If you have not applied for one already APPLY FOR THIS TODAY!!!

Low risk nationality? If you are a national of: Argentina, Australia, Barbados, Botswana, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Oman, Qatar, Singapore, South Korea, Trinidad and Tobago, UAE, or USA, and you are applying for entry clearance in your country of nationality, or for leave to remain in the UK; or you hold a Hong Kong SAR passport* or a British National (Overseas) passport; or you hold a Taiwan (ROC) passport* with a residence card number You do not need to post your qualifications or financial evidence as part of your visa application. However you must still prepare your documents and bring them to your appointment we must keep them on record.

Accommodation payments Hello Student Hello Student accommodation: James House Radway House Canal Bridge The Exchange Widcombe Wharf Piccadilly Place This is private accommodation you will need to show the full 9135 plus one year tuition fees in your bank account. Hello Student have agreed that you will only need to pay 4 weeks rent by mid- September. You will need to pay the remaining balance by mid-october AFTER you have made your Tier 4 visa application.

Check your bank statements meet UKVI requirements - make sure the funds have not dipped below the required amount!! 3. You MUST have ALL your documents ready for your Appointment 1 you cannot attend Appointment 2 until we have checked your documents. 4.
