Financial Reporting Updates Autumn 2015 Dear Sir or Madam, We will open our semi-annual Financial Reporting Updates for CFOs and controllers with an overview of recent developments in IFRS, including an update on the latest developments in the area of revenue recognition. In the second section we will explore in more detail the SIX focus areas for the current year, which include earnings per share, cash flow statements and fair value measurement. Following the coffee break, we will turn to IFRS 9 Financial Instruments. You will learn about the new IFRS 9 requirements, and how they differ from the principles laid down in IAS 39. Our focus will be on the classification, measurement and impairment of financial instruments. Find out how the changes in classification and measurement impact your portfolios of financial assets. You will also learn about the business model test, SPPI (cash flows are solely payments of principal and interest) and how the new Expected Credit Losses (ECL) model for recognition of impairment losses impacts credit management systems. Finally, in the fourth part of our session, we will take a closer look at some regulatory updates and offer you insights into the actual implementation of the new accounting law, with a focus on the enhanced disclosure requirements. PricewaterhouseCoopers AG is a registered sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. We are therefore able to provide US CPE credits for this event. Please indicate accordingly on your registration. As usual, you are invited to discuss these topics with specialists from PwC s technical department during the updates or afterwards. Keep yourself up to speed! We hope that you will take the opportunity to attend one of our updates, and we look forward to welcoming you. David Mason Matthias Jeger Partner Partner PwC s Academy provides business leaders and managers like you with professional development resources and opportunities to build relationships.
