The QIE Initiative What is QIE? Incorporation of education tools and techniques into quality improvement activities across the healthcare-delivery sector.

The QIE Initiative Who is the Alliance? The education network helping to prepare practitioners and create measurable systems-change/qi in care delivery and community health, adding value to the system.

The QIE Initiative What is QIE Phase 1? The development and launch of the national strategy for QIE Engaging stakeholders with the value proposition. Identification of key domains and actionable steps.

The QIE Initiative Where is the Destination? The QIE Vision is the use of education of teams and of individual practitioners to drive improvement and system efficiencies.

The QIE Initiative Setting our GPS*? Map US health care stakeholder areas for listening, collaboration and engagement. Together, identify value propositions for QIE. Organize domains for implementing QIE strategy. *game-plan strategy

QIE Structure Phase I: Strategic QIE Initiatives Convened an Advisory Panel (AP) of external healthcare stakeholders; Addressed framework and issues with Alliance May Board meeting; Presented first keynote address at Alliance Industry Summit with a Stakeholder reactor discussion; Will finalize and present QIE Roadmap Report May 23 in Baltimore at Alliance Quality Symposium.

Alliance 2011 Strategic Initiatives 1. Expand the focus of the Alliance beyond certified CME; 2. Broaden the focus of the Alliance to include healthcare related continuing education (CE) and continuing professional development (CPD); 3. Be visionary and proactive in strategically aligning the Alliance with the emerging healthcare environment while remaining sensitive to current needs; 4. Model innovative leadership to shape the future;
