Office of Commandant Mission Statement The Commandant team will create the conditions to enable the South Carolina Corps of Cadets to effectively develop in each other the leadership capacity to serve as principled leaders in all walks of life. We establish operations & training milestones and make resources available to the Corps for mission execution. We provide education & training to cadet leaders and guide and mentor them in the execution of leadership responsibilities. We ensure a safe, disciplined, & supportive environment for leadership development, in & out of the barracks, to include outside the Lesesne Gate. We certify to the President that standards of performance for military & physical fitness pillars of The Citadel Experience have been met by each graduating member of the Corps of Cadets. 6
