Conditions: You are the Senior HR NCO in the S-1 section for a unit that is preparing to deploy. As part of pre-deployment preparation, you are responsible for coordinating the Deployment Cycle Support (DCS) program. You have access to AR 600-8-101 and DA PAM 600-8-101 (Personnel Processing (In-, Out-, Soldier Readiness, and Deployment Cycle), FM 1-0 (Human Resources Support), ATP 1-0.1 (G-1/AG and S-1 Operations), DA Form 7631 (Deployment Cycle Support (DCS) Checklist), access to HR enabling systems, and the deployment order (DEPORD) for your unit. This task should not be trained in MOPP 4. Standards: Prepare a plan to coordinate the seven steps in the DCS program that ensures maximum unit readiness during train-up and preparation, mobilization, deployment, emplyment, redeployment, post-deployment, and reconstitution. (2) Supervise the four major phases of the deployment process. (a) Pre-deployment activity. (b) Movement to and activities at the Port of Embarkation (POE). (c) Movement to the Port of Debarkation (POD). (d) Reception, Staging, Onward Movement and Integration (RSOI). (3) Ensure recurring administrative actions are completed during the deployment stage. (4) Account for all Army, civilian, contractor, and joint, interagency, intergovernmental, and multinational (JIIM) personnel. d. Employment. (2) Supervise employment phase tasks. (6) Ensure when all of the tasks are complete, the commander validates the form. g. Reconstitution. (2) Assess personnel strength and manning requirements. (3) Prepare to begin collective unit training. (Asterisks indicates a leader performance step.) Evaluation Guidance: Score the Soldier GO if all performance measures are passed (P). Score the Soldier NO GO if any performance measure is failed (F). If the Soldier fails any performance measure, show what was done wrong and how to perform it correctly. Evaluation Preparation: This task can be evaluated by use of the performance measures as listed. This method of evaluation is appropriate if the Soldier performs the task on the job. Allow the Soldier to practice until the Soldier feels qualified and prepared for the evaluation. Then have the Soldier perform the task, using the materials listed in the CONDITIONS statement above. Score the Soldier "PASS" or "FAIL" as determined by the performance. Page 5
