Section Highlights In the year of 0, Tainan Section held annual meeting, BoG meetings, 7 administrative meetings, technical activities, nontechnical activity. Further, Tainan Section provided supports to our affiliated chapters in organizing their professional related activities. In total, there were 07 technical activities held by our chapters in the year of 0. A... Major s The Section invited Dr. Benson Ping-Cheng Yeh, the professor of the department of Electrical Engineering, National Taiwan University, to deliver a speech on the New Era for Technology Education. Dr. Yeh started working on gamification for his on-campus courses since 00. He has developed numerous games and tools for his courses with great success. Due to his great design in gamification for education, Prof. Yeh and his team were awarded the Overall Award of the Wharton-QS Reimagine Education among 7 teams from countries. It is one of the most prestigious awards for innovations in higher education. In this talk, Prof. Yeh will provide case studies of his various course designs with in-depth details. Similar approaches can be generalized to other courses to make students more engaged and motivated toward learning. The Section also invited Dr. Zhang-Hua Fong, the Minister of the Department of Engineering and Technologies, Ministry of Science and Technology, ROC to deliver a speech on Introduction to Research Projects of Ministry of Science and Technology, ROC. Minister Fong briefly introduced the direction and development of the research projects of MOST. In the year of 0, Tainan Section kept putting high efforts in institutionalization of our section administrative and also financial operation process with anticipation of sustainability. Cooperating with the Center of Industrial Elite Training and Convention Management, NCKU, we aimed to design our section operation procedure in being seamless and without any idling period in between two section chair s transfer.
