agriculture one of the most important branch of RM economy. Thus, SAUM s main focus of expertise is on the traditional areas of natural agricultural sciences, engineering & auto transportation, and veterinary medicine. It also views social sciences, economics & management and humanities as essential disciplines for a modern university. SAUM is the first HEI of Moldova that has enforced the Bologna Process. The University occupies a leading place in the number of TEMPUS and Erasmus + projects. It cooperates with more than 80 Higher Educational Institutions and research Centers from foreign countries, and hosts foreign students, volunteers, professors from other countries in the framework of different exchange programs. Research area of SAUM is focused on new plant varieties and hybrids, local varieties, animal and poultry cross breeds, improved breeds of farm animals, expanded intensive fruit growing plantations and vineyards development of modern mechanization and automation technologies of the agricultural processes and of other related industries, creation of new agricultural machinery, equipment, devices, composite materials, pharmaceutical products, etc. For the strengthening the Internalization and Europeanization of the SAUM has created the Centre for European Studies EUroSTUDIES, thus Department of International Relations and Centre for European Studies EUroSTUDIES are playing now, the role of the coordinators within ERASMUS + Programme. The core areas/activities of the center are: promoting the European dimension; facilitate and promote greater public awareness on the process of deepening and enlargement of the European integration; institutional modernization;

increasing international attractiveness of educational offerings of the University; increasing internationalization of the University; promoting lifelong education: formal, non-formal, informal; providing professional support for the development and management of European projects. TEMPUS -Technological Transfer Network TecNet European Projects Experience: The main objective of the TecNet project is to provide higher education institutions of the Republic of Moldova with effective and efficient instruments to setup: a master programme in the fields of transfer of innovation and intellectual property promotion; effective collaborations with Moldavian enterprises focused on knowledge transfer; availability of an Office of Technology Transfer (OTT) in each Moldavian university. Moreover, the project aims at realizing an innovative ICT-based infrastructure employing enhanced technologies and methodologies allowing all the partners from Moldova to create a network for technological transfer by sharing educational contents and databases. Such infrastructure will be used as a base to design educational programmes on technological and scientific transfer and as a framework for cooperation with local industries/private sector. The EU partners will transfer their know-how and expertise for the achievement of the TecTNet objectives. TEMPUS-Fostering the Knowledge Triangle in Belarus, Ukraine and Moldova FKTBUM The main objective of the project is to prepare specifications for the successful integration of

higher education, innovation and research. This specification contains specific activities for each university to improve the situation in education area. The main target groups in the developing specifications are the parliaments and government of each country, respectively. Namely these state structures can significantly influence the situation in the partner countries. TEMPUS- Support for Vocational Training in Sustainable Forestry SUSFOR SUSFOR programme is based on a multidisciplinary approach and intensive original research in the framework of the multifunctional demands on forest resources and their sustainable management, considered in a societal perspective, enhancing availability and use of forest products, development of improved processes and innovative products for changing markets and customer needs. ERASMUS MUNDUS- Education Force: Driving Mobility for EU - East Europe cooperation EFFORT The main objective of the project is to create a network of higher education institutions (HEI) and stakeholders from the EU and the 6 Eastern European Countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine) that will facilitate mobility of students and staff thus enhancing the student experience and cooperation among HEI. Main activities are: Preparation and implementation of mobility for 170 students and 30 staff members; Networking activities between the partner institutions; Development of long-term teaching, learning and research links; Creating synergies between HEI and participating business and society representatives thus enhancing the HEI curriculum correspondence to market and societal needs.

IMPULS-Instituto Politehnico Braganca IPB, Portugalia The aim of the project submitted is to design, implement and test a further training module for teachers to promote cross-border practical contacts between schools providing a general education and companies, chambers of commerce and other establishments in the business and working world. ERASMUS+ KA1, Credit Mobility- Varna University of Management, Bulgaria This project offers opportunities for students to study and staff to teach or train in the higher education institution from Varna It also makes the same opportunities available for staff and students from European countries to come to teach or study at SAUM. ERASMUS+ KA1, Credit Mobility- Creating Moldovan E-network for promoting innovative e-teaching in the continuing professional education Teache Me TEACH ME project s general objective is to promote the integration of elearning technologies into continuing professional education programmes for teachers. The project aims at increasing attractiveness and access to continuing professional education by revising and adapting elearning methodologies. Staff Profiles Cristina COȘCIUG (c.cosciug@uasm.md) Vice Rector for International Relations of the State Agrarian University of Moldova, holds a degree in Philology from the State University of Moldova, Doctoral studies in Philologyfrom the Academy of Sciences of Moldova. Mrs. COȘCIUG has developed her professional

career in the field of public administration and tourism, working several years as Lecturer for different institutions, from which: Lecturer of the National Training Centre for professionals in the field of Tourism within of National Association of the Tourism Agencies of the Republic of Moldova where she rose and won the title of Member of national Council in tourism at the Republic of Moldova Tourism Agency. Member of working group for modification of Moldova s Tourism Legislations, Tourism Policy. Since 2012, she joined SAUM as Vice-Rector for International Relations she became responsible for promoting and encouraging the participation of students and faculty in national and international academic exchanges. Mrs. COȘCIUG also coordinates teaching and research actions performed by the University in different countries, as well as the management of the development cooperation programs that the University carries out in various countries. Nowadays SAUM is a HEI where having study 6000 of students under the guidance of qualified didactic staffon 6 faculties (Agronomy, Horticulture, Medicine Veterinary and Animal Science, Mechanical Engineering, Economy). University offers wide range of study programmes for Undergraduates (24), for Masters (33) and for PhD students (24) in Romanian, English and Russian languages. The University has 1200 teaching and research staff and around 800 technical and administrative staff. University has a rich infrastructure SAUM campus is situated in the capital of the Republic of Moldova) which includes 9 teaching buildings, 14 student residences, laboratories, experimental didactic stations, the Republican Agricultural Scientific Library, a computer center, other administrative, research and technical bodies etc. SAUM is the member of European University Association (EUA), Agency of the Francophone Universities (AUF), Danube Rectors council (DRC), Council of Rectors of the leading agricultural universities in of the CIS, International Association "Agrarian University Complex". State Agrarian University of Moldova takes part in many international projects within Europe, and between Europe and other world regions. During the last 15 years the staff of the university has been taking an active part in international educational and grant programs financed by TEMPUS, Erasmus Mundus, ERASMUS+, Fulbright, Impulse, Cross-border cooperation etc. SAUM s students have opportunities to participate in international mobility programs. According to the study realized in 2014 by external evaluation committee, SAUM is ranged on the top of Moldova s universities hierarchy. For the strengthening the Internalization and Europeanization of the SAUM was create Centre for European Studies EUroSTUDIES, thus the Department of International Relations and Centre for European Studies EUroSTUDIES are playing now, the role of the coordinators within ERASMUS + Programme. The centre is promoting the life-long learning, non-formal education, increases the amenity of international studies and develops the collaboration between students, academics, scientists, civil society and entrepreneurs. Centre has its headquarter in the administrative building of SAUM on the 8 th floor and is organized into two major sectors: Research and Trainings.
