JAMES CAMPISANO, MD Ob/Gyn Dr. Campisano is actively engaged as an outstanding obstetrician/gynecologist at a point in his career when many others would be winding down. A master of the art of obstetrics, he has excellent surgical skills and a passion for delivering babies. He makes major clinical contributions, ably serving as s infertility specialist, champion of the mini-laparoscopic hysterectomy, and Chair of the Perinatal Safety Committee. His distinguished career in TPMG includes serving as Chief of a major department from 1995-2004 and serving now as Chief of Credentials and Privileges. His clinical leadership is an inspiration for everyone.

KATHERINE FOSTER, MD Pediatrics In addition to being an effective Pediatric Hospital Based Specialist who works mostly nights, Dr. Foster has been an active advocate for children s issues. She is a member of the prestigious County of Sonoma Children and Families Commission. She worked hard on California First 5 and the Children s Health Initiative, which have brought health insurance to more than 3,000 children in Sonoma County. She has also played a key role in the Pediatric Dental Initiative that led to improved outreach and preventive services plus a new state-of-the art facility that will provide for dental care with anesthesia for disadvantaged children. Her determined and successful efforts are driven by a deep commitment to seeing that all the children in Sonoma County get the best possible medical and dental care.

JOHN MIHALIK, MD Hospital Based Specialist Dr. Mihalik is motivated by the desire to serve humanity, and he lives out this desire in many ways. As a hospitalist, he treats everyone with complete respect: his patients, his colleagues, and the medical and clinical staff. His dedication to caring for others exemplifies what it means to be a healer: to cure often, to comfort always. Beyond the hospital, he volunteers as a physician for many sporting events, from Iron Man triathlons to the Goodwill Games. And when he isn t practicing medicine, he plays jazz guitar in two different bands, delighting band mates and audiences alike.

WALTER W. MILLS, MD Family Medicine Service Dr. Mills is a natural leader. After years of community practice, with clinical and leadership roles in both and Massachusetts, he joined s Department of Family Medicine in 2005. He was soon appointed Assistant Chief of Family Medicine. Shortly thereafter, he became Associate Director of the Family Practice Consortium of. Under his direction and fueled by his energy and vision Kaiser Permanente has emerged as key sponsor of the new family practice residency in Santa Rosa. Certified to practice Ayurvedic Medicine after studying in India, he integrates holistic principles into his practice as well as his teaching and leadership roles.

JOSEPH SONG, MD Radiation Oncology Dr. Song joined TPMG in 2001 as our first Radiation Oncologist. He opened the Rohnert Park Cancer Center, and oversaw the subsequent roll-out of Radiation Oncology services throughout the region, a monumental undertaking that his colleagues describe as breathtaking. His leadership has been a major factor in the success of these efforts, and he continues to work tirelessly often 70 to 80 hours per week to ensure that all of our patients receive the best care possible. He is also an outstanding clinician who has made a profound difference in the lives of his patients and in the lives of all our patients who benefit from Radiation Oncology. His dedication is exemplary.

JACK TROWBRIDGE, MD Family Medicine Service Dr. Trowbridge practiced for many years as an infectious disease consultant, and became increasingly impressed with how medical information and technology could be utilized to prevent patients with chronic conditions from becoming critically ill. This motivated him to work tirelessly as Medical Director of Chronic Conditions Management at the Medical Center, a role in which he has contributed to the same effort regionally. He has helped in the development of powerful electronic tools that help manage large populations of patients with chronic diseases. Through his efforts in improving lipid control, diabetes control, and hypertension, our patients are healthier, happier and living longer.

ROGER TURK, MD Family Medicine Service As a specialist in family medicine, Dr. Turk cares for people across the life span with skill, warmth, and deep dedication. Revered by staff, colleagues, and patients alike, he is probably the personal physician for more TPMG physicians than any other at, if not in the region. A wonderful colleague and gifted clinician, he is enthusiastic and compassionate at all times, and takes on any responsibility that comes his way with style and true commitment. His colleagues consider him to be the epitome of quality in a TPMG primary care physician.

RON WELCH, MD Psychiatry A founding member of the Department of Psychiatry in when the facility opened in 1980, Dr. Welch has made major contributions to improving care and service for our members in such key roles as Assistant Chief and Chief. He has been a leader throughout the transition to KP HealthConnect, our powerful new electronic health records system, and a physician leader for the department in our Labor-Management Partnership. He shares his clinical expertise in treating Adult Attention Deficit Disorder at numerous presentations to TPMG and the community. His colleagues respect him deeply for his work ethic, reliability, collegiality, teamwork, and efficiency in managing a very large caseload, while consistently receiving high praise from our members for his outstanding care.
