- Lauren Beddingfield, Minister to Children Happy New Year, CSBC! For many of you, your new year started about sixteen days ago. For me, I like to start my new year off on my birthday and since it is in January, I m not too far behind! If you re like me, you might have set some goals for this year. A few of mine include drinking more water, trying something new, having an adventure and seeing God change lives at College Street! How a year can change a church! I have seen so many of you rise up in service to a new challenge to minister to children and students in our community! What a blessing that has been! I know that God s presence and work has been evident to all of you over the past year. Our buses are full of students EVERY week who LOVE coming to church! Our attendance has gone up and many of you have perhaps stepped outside of your comfort zone to do your part to serve! I hope that if you haven t found a way to be involved yet, that you would consider getting involved in our nursery ministry on Wednesday nights and our C-Street Kids ministry on Sunday mornings! If you are new to Children s Ministry, the task may seem daunting, but I assure you, there are fewer ways to be blessed more than to see children worshipping Jesus. They love to sing songs ( Father Abraham is their favorite) and they truly engage in the Bible stories. If you have even the slightest interest in getting involved with either of these opportunities, please contact me. We need any and all help and yes, crowd control is a HUGE help! I know that I am looking forward to serving alongside our new youth minister, Brandon Howard as he begins his ministry here at College Street! He has an awesome group of students here and I know that he will need YOUR help! I know that all of you will join me in making him feel welcome and helping him get started! If you are interested in getting involved with our youth ministry on Sundays or Wednesdays, please contact either of us and we would love to help get you plugged in! I am grateful for my entire church family here at College Street! As we enter this brand new year, we will continue to expect greater things from God! Because of Him, Lauren Minister to Children John 14:12 FEBRUARY VALENTINE BANQUET A Valentine Banquet is being planned for Saturday, February 14th at 6:30 p.m. in the CSBC Dining Room.
