The first group includes the traditional functions of procurement, storage and dispensing of medicines for the needs of bedridden patients, and the second large group are the activities associated with consulting and expertise in the wards in relation to drug therapy for each individual patient. Specially trained pharmacists are carrying out activities aimed at optimizing drug therapy and promoting a healthy lifestyle, wellbeing and disease prevention. The practice of clinical pharmacists includes philosophy of care, combined with a specific orientation towards the patients to ensure optimal results from the ongoing pharmacotherapy. As a scientific discipline, clinical pharmacy contributes to the achieving of new knowledge, leading to a higher quality of life and lower costs for effective treatment. clinical pharmacy, drug therapy, pharmacists, hospital pharmacy I.
