Department of Public Works Mr. Robert L. Ott, PMP Garrison Energy Manager 270-798-0367 robert.l.ott.civ@mail.mil

Department of Public Works Energy Awareness Enables Army Readiness: The Army is Energy. Energy is key to everything the Army does. Secure and reliable access to energy, water, and land resources is vital for the Army to perform its mission and support global operations. focused on achieving a minimum 14 day energy supply for critical missions. In FY 2016, the Army spent > $1.1 billion on energy at its installations. Fort Campbell spent $21.6 million on energy in FY 2016. Since 2003, the Army reduced energy consumption by 25%; however, costs have increased by 35%.

Department of Public Works Army s Goal: 25% energy reduction by 2025 Fort Campbell s Goal: 50% reduction in energy use. Substantial improvement in our facilities climate and comfort for our Soldiers and Workforce. Encourage your improved conservation habits by our efforts producing positive results. Fort Campbell s Energy Strategy: Ensure energy and water resilience through redundant supplies and sources: Hopkinsville completed a 20 water connection to Fort Campbell in June 2017; and, Hopkinsville is constructing a redundant gas feed; and, Completed PH II Solar Field in May 2017 that now can provide a total of 5.65 MW of power. Focus our short term effort, FY18 project work, on our HVAC systems #1 energy use. Develop long term strategies and capabilities to reduce peak demand use and lower our energy baseline.
