Over 170 'WISE' Scholars take off for Internships The DAAD Regional Office in New Delhi, in collaboration with its network offices in India, conducted six pre-departure meetings for DAAD WISE scholarship awardees. The meetings which took place in Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi and Pune were organised with the aim of familiarising the young students with life in Germany. Working Internships in Science and Engineering, commonly referred to as 'WISE', is one of the most popular programmes of the DAAD in India, which funds bright students from selected Indian institutions of higher education to pursue 3-month summer research internships at premier universities and research institutions in Germany.
