ACTIVITY INFORMATION COURSE DESCRIPTION AND STATEMENT OF NEED Congenital heart disease patients with dysfunctional right ventricular outflow tract (RVOT) disease represent a diverse and dynamic population requiring lifelong care. Recently there has been an explosion of thought and technology related to the treatment of these complex patients. This conference will concentrate on a multidsiciplinary team approach focused on the subtleties of diagnosis, management and treatment options for patients with dysfunctional RVOT. Our goal will be to provide the latest information from the diagnostic, surgical, catheter-based and engineering perspectives to aid physicians and other healthcare providers in the care of these complex patients. A group of widely recognized international experts in the field will provide unique insights into the latest therapeutic strategies available for this patient population with a view toward what the future holds, both in the near, and long-term. EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES Gain a deeper understanding of the pathophysiology and anatomy of the dysfunctional RVOT Discuss the latest advances in RVOT diagnostic modalities and how each pertains to the timing and type of treatment Assess current treatment options available for the dysfunctional RVOT and how best to individualize therapy to meet the needs of a specific patient Discuss and explore bench and near-future innovative approaches to RVOT treatment ACCREDITATION STATEMENT Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
