Next Steps Focus on Scaling Up The Scaling-up Strategy presents five steps: Step 1 - Building a repository of good practices Step 2 - Assessment of viability of good practices for scaling-up Step 3 - Classification of good practices for replication Step 4 - Facilitating partnerships for scaling-up Step 5 - Implementation: key success factors and lessons learned Operational focus Revised action plans implementation for 2016 > Focus of outputs (Sprints) Support Communications Campaign on 2016 Reference Sites Roll out twinning support scheme for 2016 Reference Sites Strengthen horizontal initiatives: Innovative Practices repository & Monitoring and Assessment Framework (MAFEIP) Conference of Partners European Summit December 5-8 th December 2016

2.2. 2016 Call for Reference Sites WHY A NEW CALL Reference Sites are a critical component of the EIP on AHA Scaling-Up Strategy Demand from existing / and new Reference Sites to re-launch the process Reference Sites and Action Groups are both components of the EIP on AHA LEARNINGS & "WHAT'S DIFFERENT " Reference Site status should be the beginning (and not the end in itself) path for development Quadruple Helix becomes a key component / aspiration (Govt, Academia, Industry and Civil Society) Participation in EIP on AHA Action Groups (through Commitments) Dynamic process possibility of request for reassessment after 1 year Communication Resources focused on showcasing the RSs Twinning support available (2016-2017) to enable / accelerate sharing of innovative practices

2.2. 2016 Call for Reference Sites WHY SHOULD I BECOME A REFERENCE SITE? Benefit from an international network of organisations and experts (able to share good practices and experiences) Reward by recognition of "achievement" Access to tools and activities that can support you in driving your strategic priorities at a regional level WHAT YOU SHOULD NOT EXPECT You should not expect automatic EC funding as a result of gaining Reference Site status OR as a result of participating in the EIP on AHA.

SCALING-UP ROADMAP 2016: A DIGITAL SINGLE MARKET FOR ACTIVE AND HEALTHY AGEING CONFERENCE OF PARTNERS LAUNCH OF NEW CALL FOR REFERENCE SITES GOAL: TO SUPPORT THE CREATION OF A DIGITAL SINGLE MARKET FOR ACTIVE AND HEALTHY AGEING. THROUGH THE LEADING EUROPEAN REGIONS INVESTING IN INNOVATION FOR DIGITAL HEALTH, ACTIVE & HEALTHY AGEING COMMISSIONER OETTINGER INVITES STAKEHOLDERS TO DEVELOP A SHARED-VISION (BLUEPRINT) ON HOW THE DIGITAL SINGLE MARKET CAN TRANSFORM HEALTH AND CARE FOR EUROPE'S AGEING SOCIETY. LAUNCH OF THE INNOVATIVE PRACTICES REPOSITORY OF THE EIP ON AHA. THE MOST INNOVATIVE TRANSFERABLE PRACTICES TO ACCELERATE DEPLOYMENT OF DIGITAL SOLUTIONS FOR ACTIVE AND HEALTHY AGEING. 76 EUROPEAN REGIONS AWARDED "REFERENCE SITE STATUS" OVER 4 BILLION COMMITTED TO INVEST IN SCALING-UP INNOVATIVE DIGITAL SOLUTIONS FOR ACTIVE AND HEALTHY AGEING (2016-2019) OVER 4 MILLION PEOPLE (PATIENTS, USERS, CARERS, AND PROFESSIONALS), ACROSS A NETWORK OF 76 EUROPEAN REGIONS, WILL BENEFIT FROM DIGITAL HEALTH AND CONNECTED CARE SERVICES AND PRODUCTS AAL FORUM 2016 LAUNCH OF THE DIGITAL INNOVATION TWINNING SCHEME FOR ACTIVE & HEALTHY AGEING SUPPORT FOR ACCELERATING TRANSFER OF INNOVATIVE PRACTICES IN DIGITAL HEALTH AND ACTIVE AGEING AMONGST EUROPEAN REFERENCE SITES. UNVEILING OF THE "EUROPEAN BLUEPRINT ON DIGITAL TRANFORMATION OF HEALTH CARE" BY STAKEHOLDERS EUROPEAN SUMMIT ON INNOVATION FOR ACTIVE & HEALTHY AGEING (5-8 DEC. 2016) INNOVATION TO MARKET EXHIBITION DIGITAL SOLUTIONS FOR EUROPE'S AGEING SOCIETY DECEMBER 2015 MAY 2016 JULY 2016 SEPTEMBER 2016 DECEMBER 2016

STRATEGIC GOALS THAT ARE ONLY REMOTELY LINKED TO THE GOALS OF THE EUROPEAN INNOVATION PARTNERSHIP ON ACTIVE AND HEALTHY AGEING. DO NOT RE-INVENT THE WHEEL THE REPOSITORY IS A RESOURCE!!!
