Is Catholicism still relevant? What does this mean for our relationships and our families? Get these answers And so much more! Pick up a free copy of the book The Four Signs of a Dynamic Catholic when you leave Mass on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. This book has been shared with hundreds of thousands of Catholics nationwide already. Here are a few things people had to say after reading this book: David from Denver said, This book brought my son back to the Church! Lindsey from Cincinnati shared, I have been away from the Church for twenty years, but last Christmas something drew me to go. On the way out of Mass everyone was handed a copy of a book and for some reason I read it. I came back to the Church because of this book. Finally, Jessica in Philadelphia said, This is the first time the Church ever gave me something tangible. I know it sounds crazy, because the Church does so much for people...but this is tangible, in my hands, and it really made me stop and think. Parishioners, From the many emails, calls, comments and conversations that Rori and I have had with the Fair Committee, with Parishioners, staff, parents and children, it seems like we all had a pretty good time at this year s Parish Fair Wow, what an under-statement!!! The Parish Fair, started off for most of us as yet another wonderful weekend of rides, games, food & drinks with our own families. By the time the final light went out on that Sunday evening, however, something in the air seemed to have changed. Was it the fact that we were so lucky with avoiding potentially bad weather? Was it the fact that we had just witnessed yet another record-breaking weekend to support the Parish? Was it the fact that another deserving Parishioner had won the $10,000 raffle? Well, the answer might be yes, but I would argue the biggest success out of this year s Parish Fair weekend was the energy that everyone walked away with on Saturday night, after The Chee Weez finished their grand finale, and the feeling that: Nothing could stop us from enjoying the weekend as one big, happy Parish family!!! We want to thank all of you who attended for making this year s fair a truly unique experience. Now, the important question of the day is can we do it again? We say without a doubt, yes! With so many of our Fair Committee Chairs and Co-Chairs pumped up and returning for next year, with such energetic new Fair Chairs already beginning to execute plans, with the support of all of our volunteers that work the much-needed shifts, and with the wonderful support that our Parish Staff and corporate sponsors gave to us again this year, there is nothing that can stop us from doing it again! Please join Rori and me in passing the Fair torch and in supporting Bryan and Carolina Jones as the new 2014 St. Aloysius Parish Fair Chairs. No one will ever know how much this Parish Fair experience meant to Rori and me over the last year while planning. All we ask is that you consider sharing your new ideas for next year s fair by joining the Fair Committee and maybe you too can have an experience that is rivaled by few. Thanks to all of the Fair Committee, to our sponsors, to Fr. Than Vu and to all of you for making St. Aloysius the best it can be C h r i s & R o r i A d a m s B r y a n & C a r o l i n a J o n e s 2 0 1 3 P a r i s h F a i r C h a i r s 2 0 1 4 P a r i s h F a i r C h a i r s December 1 & 8, 2013 5 1st & 2nd Sunday of Advent

Ministry Highlights Christmas Crafting By: Meme Tassin Looking for a great way to start your holiday season? St. Aloysius offers Christmas Crafting on the first Saturday of December. Christmas Crafting is sponsored by the Community Life Commission for our very young parishioners. Activities are targeted for kids between 4-12 years of age to work at their own pace with the help of mom or dad. If you cannot make it for the entire event, come for the time that you can. This festive event is free! Christmas Crafting has music, crafts and lots of laughter. Come join your kids and other parishioners for a few hours of creativity and fun. There will be six crafting activities consisting of beading, stamping, making scallop shell angels, scratch offs, yarn bugs and coloring. Each child will leave with the decorations that he or she will be proud to display at home. We always need volunteers for craft preparation in November. Preparation consists of cutting and gluing items and wrapping yarn to get the craft started. Our young guests will complete the craft at the event. The preparation tasks may be done at home on your own time. Additional volunteers are needed on the day of crafting to help children and distribute supplies. High school students may volunteer as well and can earn volunteer hours for their time. Mark your calendars! Remember parents are required to stay with their children.
