2017 ANNUAL REPORT Since 2016, the leads programs that support the philanthropic efforts of our employees and agents, offers support to college-bound students, and serves as the grant-making arm for our partnerships with community-based non-profit organizations throughout the 19-state American Family footprint. At American Family Insurance, we believe that social impact doesn t start or end with a check. So we focus on bringing our mission to inspire, protect and restore dreams to life in our communities. We do this by combining financial support with volunteerism, creativity and expertise. And that leads to greater accomplishments, collaboration and a better future for all. 1

GIVING PRIORITIES In 2017, the focused grant making in three areas that align with American Family s mission to inspire, protect and restore dreams: INSPIRATION Empowering individuals with pathways to success for living their best lives and opportunities to reach their full potential. Access to transportation, daycare & financial literacy programs Vocational and job re-training, wrap-around services to traditional education, STEM programs and early childhood educational programs for economically disadvantaged families Access to the arts for the economically disadvantaged PROTECTION Providing physical, emotional and environmental assistance to families and communities to protect and ensure a brighter future for all. Food pantries, community gardens, sustainable food sources, emergency shelter and long-term housing Environmental education efforts to advance innovation RESTORATION Minimizing the impact of a disaster to families and communities. Funds are dedicated to match donations our employees and agents make to organizations across the country that are most important to them and their families. EMPLOYEES $1,440,322 MATCHED ORGANIZATIONS SCHOLARSHIP SUPPORT (Since 2016) College-bound students of our full-time employees, agents and agency staff are invited to apply for a scholarship to help offset educational costs associated with the pursuit of their dream of a post-secondary degree.
