What will change if we recruit in the spring semester? Lower grades for some, due to distractions of continuous unofficial recruitment. Fewer freshman joining campus organizations. Fewer freshman becoming engaged in service organizations. Less likely to have balanced lifestyles.
In fact. Deferred recruitment will create a four month long period of heightened social expectations for freshmen. Four months of looking good all the time. Four months of impressing others. Four months of hearing, what the boys think. Most importantly, four months of distraction from academic work!
